Abraham was not just asking God questions, but he was trying to negotiate with
God and God didn’t tell him to shut up.

Peter
Act 10:13-15; ' And a voice came to him, "Rise, Peter; kill and eat." But Peter said,
"Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean." And a voice
spoke to him again the second time, "What God has cleansed you must not call
common.”
Peter was instructed to kill and eat what Jewish religion forbade but he replied with
‘Not so Lord!’ Guess what? God didn’t strike him dead. God understood he
needed to understand.

Ananias

G

od is unquestionable. Does it mean He chooses to do anything He just feels
like doing? Like He says, ‘Hey! I’m the Boss here and no one has a right to ask
questions?’ I’ve heard so many people say this and it just presents a false image
of God to unbelievers and gives critics some lines to add to their idle talks. What
does the bible teach about God’s unquestionableness?

We have a list of those who asked God questions in the bible and guess what?
God didn’t strike them dead with thunder! I’ll mention some of them right away.

Abraham
Gen 18:23-33; Then Abraham answered and said, "Indeed now, I who am but
dust and ashes have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord: Suppose there
were five less than the fifty righteous; would You destroy all of the city for lack of
five?" So He said, "If I find there forty-five, I will not destroy it." And he spoke to
Him yet again and said, "Suppose there should be forty found there?" So He
said, "I will not do it for the sake of forty." Then he said, "Let not the Lord be
angry, and I will speak: Suppose thirty should be found there?" So He said, "I will
not do it if I find thirty there." And he said, "Indeed now, I have taken it upon
myself to speak to the Lord: Suppose twenty should be found there?" So He
said, "I will not destroy it for the sake of twenty." Then he said, "Let not the Lord
be angry, and I will speak but once more: Suppose ten should be found there?"
And He said, "I will not destroy it for the sake of ten." So the Lord went His way as
soon as He had finished speaking with Abraham; and Abraham returned to his
place.’

Act 9:10-15; 'Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and
to him the Lord said in a vision, "Ananias." And he said, "Here I am, Lord." So the
Lord said to him, "Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the
house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying. And in a
vision he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hand on him,
so that he might receive his sight." Then Ananias answered, "Lord, I have heard
from many about this man, how much harm he has done to Your saints in
Jerusalem. And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on
Your name." But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to
bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel.’
Ananias also discussed with God as opposed to the mentality of most people. We
can discuss with God and ask Him questions. Now that does not mean I talk
anyhow to God. That’s not the moral of the story. We are not even expected to talk
anyhow to humans. So, what does it mean to say God is unquestionable?
By dictionary definition, it simply means impossible to doubt. That means God’s
actions and words are faultless and can never be proven wrong. That means
though He has the power to do anything, He only does what is right. Hear Him...
Jeremiah 9:24; 'But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and
knows Me, That I am the Lord, exercising loving kindness, judgment, and
righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight," says the Lord.’
He thinks and acts right all the time. He does not do just anything because He is
God. Therefore, His ways, wisdom, and decisions are unquestionable. But we are
free to ask Him questions and pour our hearts to Him as our Father.
