The Klamath County Crusaders Football organization is a part of the Oregon Football League. As such;
a1 players are subject to the rules, regulations and policies of both the Klamath County Crusaders
foitUitt organization (hereafter refened to as the organization) and the Oregon Football League
(hereafter referred to as the OFL)'
Because the organizafrbn desires that each team member be given equ-alopportunity to enjoy, succeed,
and to continue with positive personal development, in both the game of football and in life, the following
whole,

100% all excess becomes a part of the organization's operating budget.
3. Roster tisted players who have been cut for whatever reason or who simply opt out are not
eligible for a refund of their paid player fees4. pllyers that paid their player fees directly but were not placed on the roster may opt to either
have their febs refunded to them or donated to the organization's operating budget. Player fees
that were paid through credit from the sales of media guide ads are not refundable.

PLAYER GONDUGT:

1. Expected and required of each player are respect of, and complete

loyalty to, fellow players, the

organization's coaching staff, board and volunteers.
Z. Negative, degrading or demoralizing comments to fellow team members directed at them
perionally or about other team members or organizafibn members are cause for immediate
dismissal from the team.
3. Positive and good sportsmanship attitudes, actions and re-actions are required of each player at
all organizafion events (practice sessions, games, team meetings, fundraisers, community
involvement projects etc.).
4. A player displaying attitudes or actions that, in the opinion of the coaching staff and/or board, are
deenied a hindiance to the team or any part of the organization, may be dismissed from the team.
S. player's comments, concerns, complaints or suggestions regarding any organization member or
issue, must be constructive and reasonable and should be submitted in writing to the organization
or voiced privately to the appropriate coach or board member.
6. Fighting, whetheiphysical or verbal, will rrot be tolerated and is cause for immediate dismissal
from the team.
7. Players are required to take part in every activity of a practice or game that is related to either the
team as a whole or the playe/s assigned position(s) unless restricted by a coach, medical doctor,
or athletic trainer.
A playe/s willfulfailure to report and turn in received donations or sponsor and advertising
payments to the organization will be treated as theft by the player and will result in immediate
dismissalfrom the team and a probable police report.

F. GEAR:

A full set of gear/equipment consists of shoulder pads, helmet, facemask, hip and thigh pads,
kneepads, tail pad, socks, and cleats. The full s€t of gear must be wom by every player while
participating in contact practices or games in accordance with NCAA rules.
Player feeJmust be paid prior to a player being fitted for and assigned organization ov,ned
practice and game gear for the season.
No player, including those using their own personal gear, will be allowed to participate in gear
required practices or in any games until their player fees are paid in fult.
Players are responsible for supplying their own outer footwear/cleats suitable for artificial turf and
grass playing surfaces. Players without proper footwear will not be permitted to participate.

G. PRACTICE SESSIONS, TEAM MEETINGS AND GAMES:

1. Players are required to attend all scheduled formal practice sessions, team meetings and games,
both home and away.
Players are required to be at team meetings and practice sessions at the designated location and
start tirne.
Players are required to arrive at the home and away game playing fields/facilities two (2) hours
prior to the game start time for a pre-game team meeting and for a proper warm-up session.
Frequent tardiness to practices or games is not acceptable and may result in organization
imposed player penalties.
Players are responsible for their own tape and pre-wrap at each practice and game unless an
organization volunteer trainer is present and available.

Players are responsible for their own transportation to practice sessions and all home and away
games. As funds allow, the organization may provide partial or full team transportation to the
more distant away games. Transportation, for a limited number of players to all away games, is
routinely provided by the organization Players not having their own away game transportation
must either make reservation tor organizafibn provided transportation or make carpooling
anangements with team members. No team member will be left behind due to a lack of
transportation.
Employment, extreme illness, child birth by spouse/partner, immediate family emergencies, death
in the family, natural disaster and other significant reasons that are evaluated by the
organization's coaching staff and/or board as justifiable, are valid cause for missing practice
sessions or games. Players missing practice sessions or games without providing valid cause to
lhe organization, will be penalized based upon the number of absences, through partial or full
home game suspensions of participation.
Players that are unable to participate in any given game for non-emergency reasons must provide
a minimum twenty-four (24) hour prior notification to the team head coach to avoid being
penalized. ln the event the head coach cannot be reached, all other coaches must each be
notified.
A player should submit a work schedule prior to the beginning of the playing season if the player
knows in advance that there will be conflicts with team functions. This submittal is considered
prior notification.

H. PENALTIES, SUSPENSIONS, DISQUALIFICATION/DISMISSAL:

The organizafion's coaching staff and/or board reserve the right to, penalize a player through
partial or full game suspensions or temporarily suspend a player from the team or permanently
disqualify a player from the team for:
a. Actions or behaviors, on or off the field, that are unbecoming of an organization
player representative.
a. Performance evaluated as not suited for the level of play.
b. Violation of team rules and/or policy.

ADDITIONAL PLAYER RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Players must have knowledge and understanding of the organization's mission and vision and
commit to working toward its' fulfillment during their term as a player" A copy of the organization's
mission and vision is available upon request or may be found on line at

Each player is required to participate in at least frwo organizafion sponsored local youth football
functions such as Crusaders'Youth Football Camps or flag football programs. Youth camps or
programs are typically held on Saturdays and require a four to six hour player commitment per
function.
Each player is required to assist with pre-game setup and post-game breakdown of one home
game.
