The Body Building Diet and Proper Protein Intake
If you are new to bodybuilding supplements and Sports Nutrition, then you have
come to the right place to find out what they are and how they can enhance your
bodybuilding workouts. There are many different varieties available. Stop by your
local health store and look into the many aisles and aisles of supplements. You
will soon be overwhelmed with all the choices available.
Body building is one of the many ways on how to sculpt or modify your
body by transforming the fats in your body into large muscles. Building
muscle is achieved through comprehensive muscle hypertrophy, or the
scientific term that means the boost of muscle cells. There are a lot of ways
to build your muscles; probably one of the most common and effective
forms of body building is weight training. Weight training is one of the ways
to improve the size and strength of the skeletal muscles by using assorted
kinds of gym equipments such as barbells, weight machines, and dumbbells
Building muscles can also be achieved with different forms of weight
training exercises which do not require you to use equipment such as pressups and pull-ups in which you do not need to carry weights; but body
building can also be a combination of both weight training exercises and the
weight training machines and equipments. Weight training is also a favorite
regimen among athletes and enthusiasts of weight lifting, which is another
type of sport that needs more built muscles to successfully carry barbells that
are loaded with heavy weight plates.
But after all this hard work ,and you seem that you have not improved your
muscles. Don't Get Frustrated. This is because of lack of Body Building
Supplements in your body !
Protein is used to build muscles. The effects of protein are needed for the
body to gain energy and strength. Proteins are found naturally in meats and
cheeses. But for the extra added amount of protein that a bodybuilder
needs, protein shakes, bars, and protein in powder form are needed to help
build those strong muscles that you want and need.
Whey protein is a mixture of globular proteins isolated from whey, the
liquid material created as a by-product of cheese production. So Whey
protein is must.
Creatine is found in our bodies and in foods we consume. Creatine is a
nitrogenous organic acid that occurs naturally in vertebrates and helps to
supply energy to all cells in the body, primarily muscle, by increasing the
formation of Adenosine triphosphate (ATP). It delivers water and sodium to
our muscles to give the extra energy in our muscles. It is found in both pill
and powder form. This substance is important to help our bodies to get fluid
and salt into the system.
Pre- and post-workout nutrition is all the rage these days, and for good
reason. For some, however, it’s become more than a science—it’s become
their religion, or perhaps just a place to focus their OCD-like tendencies.
Regardless, people have taken the topic of pre- and post-workout nutrition to
a level that is not justified by the research, or at least not confirmed by the
research that currently exists.
Pre-workout supplements are found in almost every health food store. They
contain different vitamins that will help our body get ready for a workout.
So take this supplement from one hour to half an hour before working out or
as described on the supplement packaging.
Post workout supplements are like the pre-workout variety except they are to
be used up to thirty minutes after the workout or as prescribed on the bottle.
These can be very useful in the form of helping your body recover from the
workout and get the additional nutrients to where they need to be absorbed
in the body.
Weight loss supplements are used for help in losing weight and burning fat.
These usually contain water reduction ingredients and some form of a
stimulant. These should be used cautiously. The effects can be devastating if
used in the wrong way.
Weight gain supplements are a combination of vitamins but basically use
protein to help in building muscle mass. The adding of additional muscle
mass is what adds weight to your body in a healthful and pleasing way.
What is the best protein powder to buy? I get this question all the time,
and really, there is no best protein - many are very good for different
reasons! In my opinion, it is futile and possibly detrimental to stick to only
one brand for the following reasons:
a) I always recommend that you cycle your supplements so that your body
get used to them thereby decreasing their effect,
b) for variety sakes alone, it breaks the
monotony and allows you to try different brands,
c) to take advantage of
the unique qualities offered by various brands, and
d) it is a good idea to switch the powders you use on a frequent basis to not
any food intolerances or even worse allergies (I have an article coming out
subject in the near future.) A blend that combines various protein sources
casein, egg, whey, and even beef if you can find it) is your best bet. I highly
recommend the following: MD+ Myosin Protein Complex, Beverly
Muscle Provider, Biotest Low-Carb GROW!, and Dorian Yates Approved
High-quality whey protein powders are excellent choices for postworkout nutrition since they get into your system fast to feed those
depleted muscles. Casein, on the other hand, is a slow releasing protein
as it recurdles into a solid in your gut prolonging digestion - this would be an
choice prior to your workouts or before going to bed.
Anyhow, as far as whey powders are concerned, amino acid complex
profile determines quality. I have in my possession a list of protein
powders that were analyzed for quality by an independent laboratory,
but since I don't want any of these companies breathing down my neck, I
will only divulge that information to my clients. Remember one thing, you
get what you pay for! Keep that in mind. Also, some people are quite
sensitive to aspartame and lactose so you will have to find free versions
of those. Taste will ultimately determine whether you purchase that
powder again. Write in with some of your feedback on these products I'd love to hear your comments.
One more thing, you could even mix protein powder into other foods to
up the protein content and improve the flavor. Mixing protein powder in
(slow-cooked) oatmeal is one option, but here's another. I call it my
"bedtime concoction." Add a scoop of Xtreme Formulations Ultra Peptide
(vanilla) to a mixture of ricotta (whey) and cottage (casein) cheese. Not
only does this provide both an anabolic and anticatabolic effect during
sleep, it also tastes amazing - it's like eating the cream filling of a cannoli
the pastry shell! Try it.
In conclusion, there are many supplements available today Protein
supplements, such as those in the form of powders, are offered at health food
stores and marketed to help you build muscle. If you are a bodybuilder or
sports person ,then you can visit our Body Building Supplements site.
