Dispense-A-Dream’ 09 is a Youth Expedition Project (YEP), an overseas service learning project comprising of 19 students from the NUS Faculty
of Science, Pharmacy Department to Prey Veng Province in Cambodia from 7-23 December 2009. The team collaborated with a Singaporebased charity organization known as Operation Hope Foundation (OHF).
The main objectives of the trip are to build a house for a villager and her family, and to raise the health and hygiene awareness in the host
community through health education and first aid lessons as well as to appreciate the culture of Cambodia.
The 17-day trip is a wonderful journey of hard work, fun, and joy. Through this project, not only have we contributed to the overseas community,
we have gained tremendously as well. We have returned richer with new skills, knowledge, invaluable memories and stronger friendship. This trip
has strengthened us both mentally and physically and allowed us to better appreciate things in life.
