Oh, my, God!
Will loved me. Will loves me!
I sighed, leaning my full weight against the closed door to my apartment.
“Hey, are you just gonna stay standing all night?”
I was startled out of my bliss by Helena flicking alcohol from her glass in my face. Was she
drinking what I thought she was? I paid heaps for that!
“And where the hell have you been, I thought I would even had to cook my own dinner!”
Finally finding the mental strength to take notice of her attitude, I pushed my weight up off
the door and on to my own two feet, making my way down the hallway to my sister’s makeshift
bedroom. Pulling her suitcase out from under the bed, I grabbed the first things my hands touched
and threw them into the duffel bag.
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing? Tamra! That’s expensive!”
“Ha, you honestly think I care? Go annoy someone else with your problems, go back to
mom.” I replied, trying to throw as much venom into my words as I possibly could.
“Yeah, she’s gonna love the fact you kicked your darling little sister out to suffer. What
happened to the promise you made her, huh? Jeez, Tamra, selfish much?”
“What happened? Jeez, let’s see. I got a life, you became a bitch, and I finished the sixth
grade.” Ha, seriously, I made that promise to mom when I was twelve! “Besides what are you? Six?
Think I care if you tell mom? No, thanks, piss off!”
I seized the last of her stuff lying around the room, grasped the bag and walked to the door,
Helena following behind me, trying to make a case for her to stay. Ripping open the door so hard it
almost fell from the hinges, I threw the bag into the hallway and turned back into the apartment,
only to stop and do a double take when I saw who was making their way to my door.
I thought I had noticed him first but Helena beat me to the greeting.
“Will, hello.” Add in a flirtatious smirk that probably didn’t work on any boy or girl who had
passed puberty. “How are you? Long‐time, no see, right?” Will, thank god, didn’t seem to notice
Helena, or the fact that she was in house clothes with a large bag strapped around her shoulder.
“Huh? Oh, hello Helena. Hi. Uh.” It was now that he looked away from me and finally
seemed to realise the situation he was in. caught between two sisters, one he dated and hurt badly
in college, and one who was now his girlfriend. “Look I can come back, you know, if now’s a bad
“Oh, no, Will, no, its fine.” I said before Helena could butt in. “She was just leaving, anyway.”
And I grasped his hand, pulled him into my apartment, and shut the door in her face to prove a
“Is everything OK?” He asked, looking between me and the closed entrance which did an
average job of blocking the cursing coming from my sister in the hallway.
“She seems to think that I’m, along with everyone else, at her beck and call. I kicked her
out.” I dragged him towards the couch and gently shoved him into it, straddling his legs with mine
and capturing his face in my hands. “So, how was work? Save the world yet?”
“Ahhhh, no, not yet.” He paused, seeming to consider something for a moment. “That’s
tomorrow, come to think of it.” I chuckled along with him as I snuggled deeper into his embrace.
“Oh, of course.” Only half my mind was on the poor attempt at conversation, the rest was
on the feel of lips as they pressed once, twice, three times against my own.
The feel of his fingers threading through my hair, pulling me closer, was intoxicating as I
turned my head slightly to deepen the kiss. I ran my tongue along his lips and sighed as he opened
his mouth. I gave myself over to the sensation of his tongue rubbing intimately against my own.
Moaning, I pulled away. “Will,” I groaned, “what are you doing here?”
“Do you want,” he moved his lips away from mine and trailed them down my neck, “me to
leave?” He said.
I hit him.
“You know nobody likes a smartass!”
“You do.” He smirked.
“No I don’t!” He looked up at me with mock hurt. He looked so serious, though, that I kissed
him. “I love you, remember.”
And I kissed him again.
Sorry it was just a small bit of fluff. Hopefully some more serious stuff coming up… If you want
