SUBJECT:
Request for an extension for the public consultation on the regulation of safety and well being of cats and dogs.
To Whom It May Concern,
Iʼm joining the citizens of Quebec to ask for an extension until September 30, 2011 for the draft regulation on the safety and welfare of cats and dogs. We
require more time to properly analyze the regulatory changes. The welfare of cats and dogs is an issue that is of concern to our society. Due to the summer
season and holidays that are currently underway and the postal strike which will add 2 weeks on postal deliveries, it prevents citizens with the sufficient time
and legitimacy to participate in the consultation of the new regulations, and to also study in depth the project regulation proposed by the MAPAQ so we can
offer any suggestions and possible recommendations, in the best interest of pets. The citizens and residents of Quebec are entitled to request for an
extension on the due date of the consultation period given the circumstances that can impair them from voicing out their opinion.
Thank you for attention to our request.
Please accept, Madam, Sirs, the assurances of our highest consideration.
