• Dogs must have a collar or harness and a valid ID tag and
should be kept on a lead in the car park area. Off-lead
exercise will be encouraged on the walk and dogs should
wear a bandana (provided free of charge, so we can identify
our group of dogs).
• Bitches in season should wait until a month later before
joining our walk, otherwise the boys can become a bit leery
and cause trouble!
• We shall meet other walkers, dogs and cyclists on this walk –
please be prepared to put your dog back on the lead
temporarily if necessary – there may be quite a few dogs in
our group that some people may find intimidating and we are
doing our best to promote the Rescue organisation.
• Rodent life is prevalent and the walks may pass lakes; this
combination increases the risk of Weil’s disease. Puppy and
adult dog vaccinations will protect against Weil’s disease.
Large Breed Dog Rescue wishes to thank Vets4Pets for its support
and for donating the bandanas for use on the walks.
