For Immediate Release: January 1st, 2012 Lyzie Burt: Signs to I'm Trying Records; To release album "Cigarettes and You" on January 20th at Lo Pub WINNIPEG, MB - I'm Trying Records is excited to announce that Lyzie Burt has joined the I'm Trying Records family. Lyzie's second Full-Length album, "Cigarettes and You" will be released on Friday, January 20th at the Lo Pub. It will be the first release of a busy 2012 for the label. At only 19 years of age, Lyzie is very active in the Winnipeg music scene; whether she is playing her hauntingly, beautiful piano based solo work weekly at Mona Lisa's or lending her voice to new label-mate Zoppa or singing full-time with The Blisters (Woven), she definitely has a voice about town. She released her debut, full length album "Out Of Your Hair" in 2009 and recorded "Cigarettes and You" in August of 2011. I'm Trying will officially release "Cigarettes and You" at the Lo Pub on January 20th with musical guests Mise En Scene and Claire Morrison of Fire & Smoke. A four song sampler of Cigarettes and You is available online at: lyzieburt.bandcamp.com/ For further information contact: Kevin Mozdzen or Corey Hykawy of I'm Trying Records Phone:Kevin @ (204)8032829 or Corey @ (204)3912700 Email: imtryingrecords@gmail.com
