Join the “Welcome Home” End of Iraq War Parade
DONORS/SPONSORS WELCOME
Sunday, July 8, 2012, 2 pm
Starting at City Hall, Portsmouth, New Hampshire
Celebrate the return of our military personnel and the end of the Iraq War by
thanking our recently returning veterans
(from both Iraq and Afghanistan) and
everyone who supported them during
deployment.
If interested, contact:
Veterans Groups & Military Families:
Josh Denton (603) 553-1810
Joshuaddenton@hotmail.com
Bands & Entertainment:
Harold Whitehouse (603) 436-8485
General Info and Sponsorship:
Peter Somssich (603) 436-5221
somssich@myfairpoint.net
Community Organizations & Registration:
Marty Cameron (603) 431-7977
mcame038@myfairpoint.net
The parade will be more than a celebration. The Veterans Administration plans to be in place at the conclusion
of the parade to inform returning veterans about benefits and services they have earned. Furthermore, local businesses and community groups are also being contacted to help organize a Job & Services Fair for returning
veterans to coincide with the parade.
As a community, regardless of personal opinions about these military conflicts, we should take this opportunity
to come together, say “welcome home” and celebrate. The Iraq Was has officially ended and this generation of
veterans deserves to be welcomed home with the same fanfare as generations in the past. That is why we welcome everyone to participate and make this a positive community parade. As long as your message includes an
appreciation for those who served, you are welcome in the parade. The Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American
Legion and other veterans groups as well as non-veteran organizations have already indicated strong
interest in participating.

I would like to support the “Welcome Home” End of Iraq War Parade with a donation.
We would ___ would not ___ like to be listed on the Parade poster and other promotional
pieces as a sponsor at the following level:
___ $25 Friend

___ $100 Supporter
