senting several schools of Baldwin
County. Approximately 400 students in
groups of about 25—30 in each group participated in what could be an annual event here in Baldwin County. The interaction between the students
and instructors was quite enthusiastic reflecting a high interest in water
safety. Sorry-no photos of Carol Hanson and Larry Jensen-my fault.

PE-ABS CLASS ON 31 MARCH 2012 ATTENDED BY 11—ALL PASSED

Eleven eager students attended the ABS Class on
the 31st of March at Homestead Village. Bob Burton, Wayne Kindred, Carol Hanson, and Marine
Police representative gave excellent instruction this
class. Lunch was provided by the Homestead Catering Service which in my opinion the best lunch
to-date provided at an ABS Event. The class was
successful with 100 percent of the class passing the
exam.

DIVISION 3 AWARDS BANQUET...Continued

Our flotilla did quite well in the Awards
segment of the banquet. The Flotilla of
the Year, Member Training, Vessel
Checks, Member Resources, and Marine
Dealer Visits were all earned by the very
best Coast Guard Auxiliary members-of
Flotilla 32 under the guidance of FC Asa
McKenzie.

Also, among individual awards, Bob
Burton was awarded the Instructor of
the year (180 hours); and, the Most
Improved Auxiliarist for Flotilla 32
(for performance above and beyond).

All the members of Flotilla 32 were asked
to stand for recognition of attending the
Awards Banquet. We should be proud of
ourselves.
