Mom to Jack (age 4)
I have been a member of FUMC MOPS for 4 years and am entering my
3rd year on the Leadership Team for the group. I grew up just north of
Austin in the little town of Belton, Texas (Go Tigers!) and attended the
University of Texas (Hook 'em Horns!) before getting a wild hair and
moving to Las Vegas where I met my wonderful husband, Chris.
Chris and I have been married for 5 years and have a 4 year old son,
Jack. We are (excitedly) expecting identical twins in January. I joined
MOPS just a couple of months into my husband's year long deployment
to the Middle East. I have told many people that MOPS saved my life,
as I don't know what I would have done without the support and the incredible friends I made that first year. The group was so wonderful, in
fact, that a handful of MOPS Moms packed our entire home for me
when I moved our family from Canyon Lake to New Braunfels, with my
husband still away. Real life savers!
The friends I've made through MOPS are friends I will cherish my entire
life, and I look forward to watching my children grow with their children.
