R e port this im age

Here's what was in the radiator, before I drove it, it was not there. I didn't stick my finger into the
neck, nut the cap was clear.
That looks like rust. When I was 16 I used some stop leak in my bucket, but it was like a thick milky liquid with
little colored specs floating around.

My guy said it comes in a bar? I think? My head is swimming so that could be wrong. It wasn't there when I
looked, its there now, I didn't add it. He's been at dealerships for the past 15+ years. I totally trust him. That's

because the spiders were chewed up, no big deal cheap pos truck, and Im sure he didnt know. Since I
have had it, it has mostly sat. only driven on the road a for about a month. In the time I have had it I
put a big gay truck land 6 inch lift on it, 35s, yada yada. Wheeled it a few times in the mud, took it to
gulches, and then parked it at work where it sat again.
If you are the seller, you sure have a lot of pride in what you sell.
You really had the nuts to even ask $3k for that? I bet your CL ad sounded much more promising than your
above description.
Either way, it is what it is. You guys aren't going to get anywhere. You got screwed by a guy who (it appears)
patched his "cheap pos truck" up, beat on it, and sold it for much more than it was worth.
On the other side of the coin, buyer agreed to buy it. There is no protection there. Go to a dealership if you
want any form of protection from misrepresentation (and even then you can get hosed.)
When I sell something, I will tell the prospective buyer every bit of history I know on the truck, what I have
repaired, and what I expect it still needs. I will drive every vehicle at least 3k miles before I think about selling
it, all because I don't ever want to be the guy this seller is. I have made many, many great deals on craigslist,
for myself and the buyer. I've actually had people call and thank me.
Most importantly, to protect myself, whenever someone does buy a truck from me, it comes with a receipt,
clearly stating the vehicle was sold as-is with no warranty expressed or implied, and that the buyer agrees the
vehicle may have issues that have not been identified by either party. My signature and the buyers signature is
on the receipt. Two original copies, photographed with drivers licenses as well.
All is not lost. Fix 'er up and move on. No better way to develop a relationship with your truck anyway. Ya gotta
get inside her.

Personally, I always sell with an AS-IS reciept. That said, if I sold someone a vehicle and they only got an hour
away and it shit the bed, I would have went and picked them up with their money in hand and figured out how
to get the truck back home myself. I couldnt sleep at night knowing someone bought what was expected to be
a decent running vehicle only to have to dump a bunch more cash into it to get it to run.

^^^this
a good seller will stand up and help a person get home and return the money if it never even made it back to
the buyers house, then the seller can tow it home and figure out what needs to be fixed so he can resell it for
even more knowing its fixed and reliable......thats just good business and how you keep the customers coming
back and happy
but all in all it was an "as-is" sale and that means buy beware, search that vehicle with a fine tooth comb and
test drive it for atleast 20 miles(even if you have to put gas in it) cause with some vehicles it takes time for it
to reach optimum temp and start showing its a$$ and you want to know if the vehicle is going to be a good buy,
a blown head gasket wont usually wshow its a$$ untill you get that engine nice and hot
also all vehicles break down eventually and there is no protection for a vehicle transaction even if you go to a
dealership I KNOW i had bought an 07 F150 brand new and it would never leave home without being towed back,
i attempted claiming the lemon law on it and even tried sueing but got NOWHERE i ended up just stoping
payment and having them repo it
if you dont know how or dont have the love and ambition to bring that truck back alive then you shouldnt be
buying USED vehicles, go to a dealership and buy brand new....but like i said even then your not garenteed a
good vehicle
soooo fix the truck yourself then you know everything is right and youll have a good truck......ive rebuilt my
entire drivetrane myself from the engine to the trans, the transfer case and every other part under the
hood...........now my truck is basiclly brand new besides the body and i know itll run for a good 100k+
nuff said call it a lesson learned, quit being soo butt hurt about it and just continue on with your new ride, doing
all this is just gonna cost you more money and get you nowhere
have a nice day and welcome to the world of vehicles(they always need work get over it)

I can live with that.
Just trying to figure out what avenue to head down. Looks like my $200 motor is washing out. There's a local
builder here with long blocks for 1200. Which is probably the best route, however that's close to my short term
repair budget. There are plenty of used motors on the web for 700ish, but that scares.
Has anyone had any dealing with used junkier motors online?

Have you torn into the engine yet? You're talking about buying new engines and I'm not even sure if you've
pulled the heads. Until you do at least that, how do you know you have anything more wrong with this thing
than just a gasket? Buying a junk engine to replace what may not be ruined is silly.
...of course, this whole thread is silly, so party on!

I think you missed the point in what the seller is saying. He bought the truck as a piece of shit, and had to fix a
bunch of things. Not a huge deal, being a POS, you're going to fix broken stuff.
He even told the guy all the stuff wrong with it. On top of that, this guys mechanic gave him the thumbs up on
buying.
He bought a 20 year old truck, that has been beat on, lifted, and abused. He claimed it felt weak, and he drove
it anyways.
Would you trust a vehicle with known problems 3.5hrs out of town on the freeway?

A bar you put in the radiator? I have used bars to fill a crack in the radiator case, but not inside.
Anyone here know of a bar you put in the radiator ?

go to the surrounding area junkyards and go look for some engines and learn how to inspect them. You're going
have to get your hands dirty...image that with a 18 yr old truck.
I drove $500 trucks across the country. If you can't handle spending the time to learn and just want to cry,
then get a bus pass.

I've got a 1995 bronco with the mass air 302. It has started knocking so going to need a swap. Not real familiar
with the blue oval exchanges and need to know what 302s will swap out. Will any block swap and then I just
need to swap intake, ect?

click the link. Jimbo is the seller. He made a post on PBB before he sold the truck saying it was knocking and he
was inquiring about compatible 5.0's because it was going to need a new one.

I did click the link, but jimbo isn't registered here under that name. I didn't see a location specified so i didn't
have enough to truly put 2 and 2 together, although i was suspicious jimbo was the seller.
