a primer about body building
Working out is hard on your body, and it tears down your muscles. When you lift weights, you're
actually tearing down your muscle fibers, and then as they heal and repair they're just a little bit
stronger. The really demanding part is when you do this everyday, or nearly every day of the
week.
Specific supplementation is chosen by pro body builders for exactly that reason. The range of
benefits offered by supplements are too vast to mention here, however they do involve proteins,
hormones, metabolites, enzymes, and other compounds. Do you need to take supplements? We'll
cover a small sampling of the kinds of supplements used in body building.
There's a particular class of hormone called growth hormones, and it's in wide use by very many
body building athletes. The official designation for these hormones is HGH, and so that is what
you'll find them called. This hormone is secreted in your brain/bloodstream by the Pituitary gland
which is located in your brain. The thing about this hormone is that it is not normally made for the
life of a person, once you are past the age of thirty, thereabouts, the amount begins to slow down
with age. Most body builders are still going strong well into their thirties. The population of baby
boomers is large and getting older, plus non-boomers number in the tens of millions; and that is
perhaps the primary reason for the popularity of HGH. Natural HGH is more potent than
manufactured, but the latter still gets the job done and is more than adequate. (this
recommendation can be quite useful, for even better plan take a look at the following video at
youtube.com).

Amino acid supplements are very popular. Some supplements consist of synthesized amino
acids. If you're really into it, you can purchase just one kind of amino acid.
However it's probably best when you're just starting out to use a general supplement of amino's
that contains many different kinds. However, don't rush out and buy stuff - make an appointment
with your doctor and get checked out and have a talk about everything. It's just a good idea and
some insurance to see your doctor about it. Taking amino acids or anything else in more
moderation can provide support with healing from hard workouts, too.
HMB is one of the newer body building supplements that is on the market today. Leucine is a
protein found in the human body, and HMB is a metabolite of it. Two main areas of interest for
builders is fat burning and muscle growth - so that makes it a no-brainer for a lot of people. HMB
could become quite popular with body builders because it will provide support with increased
ability to withstand fatigue, as well. There is always a period or lapse as people need time to see
what kind of results occur, but the reports back from the field are positive. As always, you should
check with your doctor before beginning a course of HMB. (for more suitable weight loss remedy
it's also advisable to have a look at this video at youtube.com/).

Weight lifting sports including body building can place extreme demands on the body resulting in
a need for support through supplementation. While most of the enzymes you need to stay healthy
during a workout can be gained through natural means (meals, mostly), sometimes the body
needs a little help. Sometimes the body needs help doing its job and supplements can help you
ensure that your body continues working properly, even after a strenuous workout. It's nice to look
great, but not at the expense of your health - so check in with your doctor frequently for
assessment. Don't start taking supplements just because you can buy them online. Protect your
health by being vigilant and careful.
