EMILY PARSONS for
Accessible auditions for everyone!
-Tell everyone: when they are, what’s involved, how
much fun it is.
-Pressure-free system so that everyone feels
-Advertise the auditions outside of the society so that anyone
can turn up. This way we will hopefully get more attendees as
well as attracting people that would otherwise be put off by
the female-orientated perception of the society.
- ‘All Abilities welcome’ auditions to make them less
daunting and it will be easier for us to form more Novice
-Look for as many competitions as possible, provided that
they are suited to our skills and our squads, travel is hassle
free and that dates are convenient.
-VARSITY: prepare well in advance and find suitable and
unbiased judges. Make it a priority to regularly liaise with
CCCU well before the competition so that everyone is
prepared and informed. Let’s show CCCU that we can outdance them fairly and with style!
-KENT DANCE FUSION: let’s make it even bigger and
better next year with more dances and more people
supporting. Look into selling snacks and drinks at events
such as this as well as Varsity and the Kent Dance Show.
-ONE FINAL IDEA: why not try and plan a Dance
Competition of our own? It might have to start small and
only involve local universities but I have the perseverance
and drive to at least give it a go. This would take a huge
amount of team effort not just from the committee but the
society as a whole but I think we can do it!
