the many pleasures of online
When you participate in online gaming communities, you may get proficient with a left handed
mouse, but you learn lots of other things as well. There is obviously something to the online
gaming phenomenon, as millions of players compete in hugely popular role playing games such
as World of Warcraft and EverQuest and a wide variety of other MMORPGs (Massive MultiPlayer
Online Role Playing Games). Some people take gaming very seriously. For others, it's only a part
time hobby. Do you think you'll be a casual or an obsessive gamer? How do you get the most out
of gaming? Let's look at some strategies to help you get more out of the time you spend gaming.
Have the right stuff - the equipment you need. If you only play games online once in a while, this
might not be a big deal. You can take your mouse and change the buttons over. However, if you
love your gaming, even on an occasional basis, you still may want to get a mouse for lefties; and
that's especially true for truly serious games like Warcraft/EverQuest. Competing with other
games is serious and serious fun, and your performance will be so much better when going up
against others. Also, it doesn't have to be gold-plated; you can find great deals almost anywhere.
You will benefit from alot of practice. Becoming a benefit to your gaming team takes time to hone
those skills necessary for great game play. You should expect that you will not immediately be an
expert on the first day. Figuring out how best to use your left handed mouses, for example, might
take a little bit. Like anything else you will need to work at it in order to become good at it. The
more time you invest in practicing your gaming skills the easier it will become. Gaming becomes
more fun as you get better at it.
Don't forget that games are supposed to be fun. These games are more than games they are
great entertainment. You should not replace real life with these games. If you end up too wrapped
up in a game it is important to realize you need a brain break, go do something else away from
the game console, left handed mouses and keyboards for a while. Consider stepping away from
the computer entirely or at the very least change games for a while. If you are not having fun
anymore those you play with probably aren't either.
You and everyone else plays online games because they're fun, and that's all anyone wants to
have - fun. It can be easy to get so wrapped-up in something that it becomes super-serious - not
good for anyone.
More importantly, if you act like a brat, the other people in your game won't have any fun either
and nobody will want to play anymore. It's more important to have fun and help the team than
having a left-handed mouse (if you need one). There's more to gaming than that left-handed
