Let our recruitment team work for you.
Mid Year 2013

From the Director, Julie Parsons
2013 is going very quickly.
Business confidence in Australia is patchy in some places, companies are carefully deciding where
to spend money and proven business relationships are essential.
I have just returned from our Aus/NZ NPA annual conference in Sydney. We had excellent speakers
and topics. A stand out was Greg Savage, a guru in our industry and his advice on what to do if
Starting A Recruitment Company Now. Some valuable advice is that we must have the latest state
of the art search systems and technology. Recruitment Consultants need to be trained in the art of search to
differentiate from the competition and to add value to clients as the shortage for quality talent continues in the future.
What really makes us different from other recruitment firms is the local and global recruitment networks we have and
our approach to filling jobs with the best resources on offer, including working with other recruitment firms in
our NPA network. Less is more when it comes to client numbers! Our approach is to work quality jobs with great
clients who appreciate what we do and recognise our expertise, that is why we fill the jobs we work on.
I can’t ask for a better team.
We know who we are, and what we do, and we do it well.

CANDIDATE TESTIMONIAL
"My experience with Premium Consulting was great from the very beginning. I applied for a Job they had posted and within
a matter of hours Julie called me to start the process. I had an email within a day organising a phone interview which I
participated in and it was all very professional. The company hiring took it from there and I had 3 other interviews upon
which I was successful. I have been with them for 6 weeks now and it’s all going great. I have received emails and a card
from Premium Consulting extending their congratulations which was great. In summary my experience going through
Premium Consulting was flawless and a pleasant experience. I would strongly recommend them. Thanks Julie".

We were very pleased to receive
this Recruiter Achievement Status

From the Recruitment Manager, Aaron Yule
I had the pleasure of attending a conference last week with NPA
Recruitment Owners and Managers from both Australia and New
Zealand. Whilst the majority of speakers spoke about the importance of
social media and how to build your personal and business profile, one
of the most interesting topics discussed (and debated) was how to
develop and understand a successful business culture.
It wasn’t the usual Generation demographic angle but went into the
theory behind Organisational Culture Inventory and Circumplex Styles.
This was an eye opener to say the least and showed
how a negative culture will affect a business at all
levels.
The theory is complex yet valuable, and I would
recommend anybody interested, to research and
learn more about Organisational Culture Inventory
and how you may be able to implement it into your
business and reap the rewards.

The numbers are in and 2012 ranks as the biggest Movember
ever! We are incredibly proud of Aaron participating in this record
breaking event and collecting $400. Movember is a very worthy
cause and it is great to see so much support.

Secure Your Future By Being An Interview
Success!
The short time you spend at a job interview could have a dramatic
effect on your future career prospects. Therefore, it’s important
that you perform well no matter how good your career record is
to date. The employment interview remains an important step
towards fulfillment of your future ambitions.

There are 10 golden rules that should always be followed:
1. Turn off mobile phones.
2. Get rid of any chewing gum.
3. Although it is nerve-racking, try not to have a cigarette prior to
attending an interview.
4. Keep accessories simple (such as jewellery and makeup).
5. Be positive throughout the interview
Try not to say anything negative – particularly about previous
jobs/employers.
6. Do not talk over the interviewer.
7. Do not use technical jargon, abbreviations or own company
terminology. Use plain English, jargon may put off the interviewer.
8. Always give full answers to questions – provide examples.
9. Think of questions to ask about the company/role/culture.
10. And finally … remember to smile!!
