protect your business from copycats
Did you know that you and you alone are fully responsible to protect your business from
copycats? You know what I am talking about, because in internet marketing, everyone is always
trying to copy the marketing gurus.
If it weren't bad enough, we have companies always trying to copy what every other company is
doing in the MLM industry, affiliate marketing industry, and now companies that claim to be
It seems that no one can do their own thing, but instead they aren't creative enough to brand
themselves. So the question is, how would you even begin to protect a brand identity crisis?
How do you keep another guru from stealing your "big idea"? Simply put, you can only protect
your business by being different, being unique, and standing out above the rest-PERIOD.
Protect Your Business from the Beginning by Being Different
So, I started off this article by sharing with you that the best way to protect your business is by
being unique and different.
Some of you may be asking how you do that, and that is what I want to share with you today. If
you have been reading my articles, you already know that I am a martial arts instructor, and so I
teach others how to protect themselves.
Protecting your business is really no different! There is no doubt that I take a unique approach to
this, but they really are the same thing! The first step in protecting your business is to:
Target your niche market only
Create an avatar to make it clear who you are speaking to
Establish your brand
Start building your web presence immediately
Make your brand unique to your personality
An avatar makes it extremely clear who you are marketing too, and if you haven't chosen one, it's
time to step back and go back to the basics of marketing your business. After all, don't you think
that your alter ego deserves a bit of attention?
Protect Your Business By Getting in Front of as Many People as Possible!
One last thing that I would like to share with you, is how you can protect your business strictly by
building your online presence as quickly as possible. The first component of your web presence is
putting up your website.
It's important that people learn more about who you are, what you do, and WHY you do what you
do. The second component of building your web presence is your blog. Your blog is the core of
what you do. Your blog does two things:
It shares more in-depth and personal information about you
Your blog helps to drive traffic to your website and your social media
The more traffic you get and the more you strive to connect with your audience the stronger your
web presence will be. It will be hard for people not to find you, and the power of the internet
enables you to stay in front of people.
This is why starting an online business is easy to do, but even easier to maintain. Consider that
once you write a blog or article, it's up for good. It will always be found, and if you are doing
affiliate marketing, you can easily earn commissions for what you are offering years from now.
It's amazing how it works, and that is why more folks are learning more about marketing online.
Are you one of them? Have you considered starting your online business, but you just weren't
sure how to start or what you would need to do to maintain it?
Do you believe that what you can do with your business is all in the branding, and the fact that
you can grow your business easily online? If you are interested in learning more about how you
can start your online business venture, and how you can "protect your business" from copycats
