Exercise is definitely an important part of getting healthy and staying fit but there is more to those
things than exercise. Running and weight lifting are not all there is if you truly want to be fit. If you
want to be truly fit you need to make smart decisions in all aspects of your life. As you get older
and wiser you will realize that being physically fit and having a healthy lifestyle are very important.
How many times, over the last months and years, have you thought "I really need to get healthier"
to yourself?
You will be pleased to learn that you can put a few things into action today to help raise your
levels of health and fitness. Here are a few tips that you can use to be healthier and practice
proper fitness.
Eat a nutritious and balanced diet. Getting fit is easier if you eat a consistently healthy diet. If all
you eat is junk food or processed food, you aren't moving toward fitness you are moving away--no
matter how much exercise you do. The best way to keep your body healthy and happy while you
work out is to make sure that you eat a healthy, nutritious and balanced diet. Eating well keeps

Don't try to increase the duration or intensity of your workouts every day. If you build up your
exercise routine every day your muscles won't ever get stronger. This will only tear your muscles
down more quickly. Exercise works by tearing down a muscle and then giving it time to heal and
get stronger than it was before. Your muscles need time to heal after you work them. Alternate
your workouts. Alternate between one "hard" day and one "easy" day. Doing this will allow you to
keep up with your fitness regimen and keep your muscles safe.
Start small and work your way up to something more complicated. Nobody is able to run ten miles
when they first start working out. Nobody is able to lift a hundred pounds if they haven't ever done
weight lifting before. Start with slow and easy exercises and then work up to routines that are
more involved. When you do too much too soon you will hurt yourself. If you push yourself too
