If you've made up your mind to shed off a few pounds, then you'll have most probably have come
up with some sort of workout plan. So perhaps you're new to working out or you haven't exercised
in a while. Usually, it can seem a trifle too much and even a little bit awful... All you need to do is
get moving and take off walking. You absolutely should add walking into your exercise routine if
you haven't added it already.

First, when you're setting up a workout program, be sure and include walking as a day-to-day
activity. This is easy if you have a dog - merely take it for a mminimum of 10 minute plus walk
daily. 10 minutes may not seem like like a lot of walking, but over the course of a month, or even
a week, it adds up quickly. If you take your dog for a walk two times a day then that number is
multiplied by two. If you don't live too far away from your job try walking there, or at least a part of
the way. Certainly, irrespective of how far you are located from your office, you can work
something out to get a little exercise on the way there. Of course, you'll have to walk back at the
end of your work day, too, so that doubles your exercise - whic is great! If you use the bus to get
to work, just start using a stop that's a little farther from either end. You'll discover it truly is no big
deal to add more walking to your daily exercise program.

If you want to improve your health, start walking. Because it's an aerobic exercise, you'll burn off
calories, which means you'll get rid of excess weight and it's also good for your heart. Walking is
ordinarily done in a leisurely manner, so you won't be stressing your joints too much, unlike
running. I have a brother who's one of those people who consumes a ton of junk and fast food but
never gets bigger. How does he do it? He told me he's never actually thought about it, but
possibly it's because he walks quite a bit every day. At the least it now makes sense. Since, for
most of us, nothing is more painless than walking, we have no reason not to.
You're more likely to stick with your walking program if you simply make it part of your day-to-day
routine. Then, with a proper, healthy diet, you'll also start melting off the pounds as if by magic.
You won't have to be anxious about motivation, since walking is not all that vigorous, and you'll be
delighted at how much better you feel. As you walk more and see changes, you'll want to do more
or up the level of intensity of your walks. If you think you can walk more - don't hold yourself back.
Try walking faster or, if you're feeling very positive, you could jog. And you can progress to even
more difficult exercise programs, if you prefer.

matter how hectic your day is, you can surely find 10 minutes here and there for a quick walk.
Another possibility is to join a gym and use their treadmills for a half hour or so each day.
