Having some sort of personal workout plan is a great way to get going losing weight. But you
likely haven't exercised in a long while, so you don't know where to get started. You probably
think it's a bit frustrating. But don't worry, there's an easy way to get back into exercise: walking!
You must make walking a huge component of your exercise plan.

There are many ways you can fit walking into your daily schedule. Have a dog? Take your pet for
a nice, long walk. Anything under 10 minutes doesn't count. After 7 days, you'll have walked at
least seventy minutes more than if you hadn't done it at all. If you and your dog go walking twice
per day then that number is multiplied by two. What about walking to workplace, or at least some
of the way? You can do this irrespective of the distance of your home from your office. If you're
lucky enough to have just a thirty-minute or so walk to your place of work, that'll be an extra hour
of walking each day. If you use the bus to get to your office, just begin using a stop that's a little
farther from either end. It's not at all difficult to integrate walking to your daily routine.
If you are striving to improve your health, start walking. Since it's an aerobic exercise, you'll burn
off calories, which means you'll lose weight and it's also beneficial for your heart. You can go at a
somewhat slow pace if you need to, so don't be afraid that you're going to hurt your muscles or
joints as you might if you went for a run. I have a brother who's one of those folks who consumes
a ton of junk and fast food but never puts on weight. How does he do it? He tells me doesn't have
an idea how he manages to do it, but he say that he goes for a walk each day. At least it now is
perfectly clear. Since, for many of us, nothing is easier than walking, we have no reason not to.

Once you establish walking as a part of your daily schedule, it will become more effortless to stay
with it, and as a bonus you'll begin to notice you're losing some pounds, too. By walking you'll also
feel better and you won't be bored by it because it's not exhausting at all, which will make you feel
more driven. The more often you walk, the more you'll be inspired to walk . . . and the faster you'll
want to walk. Why not, if you think you can do a lot more? As soon as you're walking at a
reasonably good pace and feel ready, You may be ready for jogging. After that, you can do
anything you want.

Now the cat's out of the bag - there is just no excuse to not get out there and get started walking.
No matter how hectic your day is, you can certainly find 10 minutes here and there for a brisk
walk. Another possibility is to join a gym and use their treadmills for a half hour or so daily.
