On-Boarding
Process
1. Coaches complete FBI background checks
2. Coach Screening Application (CSA)
3. CAA National Team uses information from the CSA to run background checks and populate the Coach Contract.
4. The Coach Contract is sent to the Coach via email; once they sign it online, it is routed to the Site Supervisor to sign. Once the Site
Supervisor has signed it online, Program Officer signs Completed document forwarded to RPM and OM to file physically and electonically.
Background
Checks
All coaches must complete an FBI fingerprint background check procedure prior to receiving a Coach Across America contract and/or
starting service at host site.
Fingerprint processes vary by state.
Graduation

Coaches must enter their hours in the America Learns system & the
Site Supervisor must approve these hours.

4. Hours not approved by both the Coach-Mentor and the Site
Supervisor will not be included in that pay period's check. NO
EXCEPTIONS.
Time Off
Leave time must be approved by Site Supervisor and DOES NOT
count toward minimum hours.
1. HT Coaches will receive 40 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO)
2. QT coaches will receive 20 hours of PTO
Dual-Capacity
1. IF BEING PAID IN ADDITION TO TASKS AT SITE:

differentiating CAA tasks from other tasks at sites
