Lake Fishing Tips
Fish Housefull
You do not want to be disappointed after hours of sitting with the rod in the water, only to
realize he came to the wrong place. Make sure therefore that the lake is planning to visit is
loaded with fish is essential. If possible, plus a good idea would be to consult with the
Department of Inland Fisheries about what kind of fish is found in the lake you want to go.
That will help in deciding the type of baits and lures.
Flying fish? Or fly fishing?
As fly fishing is common among regular fishing expeditions, one thing to remember here is
that the emphasis should be working on the fly and not fly. Avoid shaking the line like a whip
if you do not want to miss the flight. A gentle tap, fast will help to keep going.
Going Places
The change of place at regular intervals is a good idea to improve your chances of catching
some fish. Look behind and around the lilies, logs, stones, where there is little chance of
hiding the fish. Cast the bait around these areas. If everything would have a good game!

the lake is a safe habitat compared to a river and the sea and has an abundance of rich

Boat or land?
lake fishing tips may vary depending on whether it is the fishing boat or bank fishing. Talk
about fishing lake and boat fishing techniques is most popular and effective drive. Trolling
refers to pulling a lure behind the boat while it is idle ahead slowly. On the contrary, when
you go fishing on a lake shore, fishing is still a very popular technique. This technique
consists of a regular hook attached to a bait. Similarly, a sliding sinker is added to the line.
The platform becomes water and is given time to sink. Another technique that can help catch

natural way of fishermen. Some people use a technique that involves simply walking along
the coast, releasing several decoys in the lake.

River Fishing Tips
By Trevor Kugler
In this article I'm going to outline some river fishing tips that will help almost anyone have
more success. Many of these tips are for smaller rivers and streams, you know the size that
you fish from the bank, however not all of them. Some of these tips are great for fishing any
size river. The point is that these river fishing tips will help you catch more fish on your next
outing.
Use all of them or pick and choose your favorites, the point is that these tips have been
proven through more than twenty years of actual fishing experience. These aren't simply
"theories" that haven't been proven by actual fishing. You're not going to find any magic
formula in this article, just simple river fishing tips that will enable you to get more bites, and
thus catch more fish.
Let's begin with when you go fishing. We all get a limited amount of time to spend on the
water, so we need to maximize our time as much as we can. Did you realize that there are
certain times that are better for fishing than others? Well there are, and the more you know
about this phenomenon, the better. If you've ever had an epic day fishing, where it seemed
as if no matter what you threw into the water resulted in you catching fish, it more than likely
had to do with this phenomenon.
Specifically, you want to understand the weather and moon, and the ways these two factors
impact fishing. The weather and moon hold the key to being on the water when fish are the
most active, and being on the water when fish are active is a key to fishing success. Have you
ever had one of those days when the fishing was simply incredible? This probably had to do
with you being on the water when one or both of these factors were in your favor.
The next river fishing tip is for those of you who use live bait. If live bait is employed when
river fishing, natural presentation is a key to success. In other words, we want our live bait to
look as natural as possible. This is where gang hooks come into play. Gang hooks are the
best way to present live bait in a natural and realistic manner. This is especially true when
using live worms as bait. When a live worm is rigged on a set of gang hooks and allowed to
flow naturally with the current of a river or steam, the results can be quite dramatic.
These simple, yet effective river fishing tips will enable anyone to catch more fish. Go out and
give one or all of them a try, you won't be disappointed. To me, standing in a flowing river,
attempting to catch a fish or two is as good as it gets, and these tips will simply help you
hook up more often. And we're all interested in hooking up as much as we can, right?

The perfect trout fishing gear must be lightweight. Heavier gear is truly only needed if you're
fishing for brown trout that reside in the great lakes. A Five foot ultra light rod twinned with
an ultra light reel is the most popular trout fishing set up for many experienced anglers. You'll
have no problem catching massive trout with this kind of setup. The counseled hook size for
live bait is a size 10 hook. The successive piece of trout fishing gear to consider is the fishing
lure. It is better to use smaller lures when trout fishing. Accomplished anglers normally do
not fish for trout with spinners and spoons heavier than a Quarter oz.. When trout fishing,
also try to avoid using minnow sort plugs longer than 4 inches. One of the top trout fishing
tips is to use light fishing gear.

It appears as if everyone has a fly fishing tip. They have to tell you what fly is working best,
what fly to fish in a certain fly fishing scenario, or what casting technique is most efficient on
a certain stretch of river, but how generally do you hear about a fly fishing tip for traditional
spin fishermen? Not very often, that's definite. Fly fishing is seen and sold because an
exclusive group of skilled anglers who are "above" conventional spin fishermen for some
considerable time. While fly fishing methods are terribly specialised and require special gear it
doesn't mean that fishing with flies is very unlikely to spin fishermen. Traditional spin
fishermen can fish with flies with the aid of a thing by the name of casting bubbles.
It feels like any time that you may be looking out for a fishing tip, all you find is someone
trying to sell you something which will allegedly let you catch more fish. The problem is that
much of the time they are trying to sell you something, instead of really make you a better
angler. It seems because if everybody is attempting to find the "wizardry elixir" which will
help them catch more fish, and the weasels out there take advantage of this fact.

in the water. Different fishes adapt to different conditions of environment. Different fishes can
endure different salt levels, oxygen amount, food amounts and types, temperature of the
water and areas for hiding. Salt is the part that distinguishes almost all of the fish. Fish

of salt but there also are fish species that may live in both clean water and salt water.

Early Season Trout Fishing Tips
By Trevor Kugler
For many anglers the spring is their favorite time of the year because it's when trout fishing
season begins and they can get out onto the water after a long winter spent doing activities
other than trying to catch a fish. Yep, the springtime and "trout fishing" go together like a
hand and a glove and below I will outline some early season trout fishing tips that will help
you catch more trout when you head out onto the water this spring.
Early season trout fishing offers some unique challenges that aren't found during other times
of the year and some of these challenges would include; high and/or muddy water
conditions, lots of fishing "pressure", cool to cold air and water temperatures, and often less
than "ideal" weather conditions. This however, doesn't mean that fishing for trout during the
early season should be avoided.
As a matter of fact, it means just the opposite. You see, during the early trout season trout
are often very active and feeding heavily after a long winter where they tend to feed much
less often because of a slow metabolism caused by freezing water temperatures. This means
that as air and water temperatures rise early in the season the trout get active and begin
actively feeding. This is why warmer days or extended warm periods tend to "turn the fishing
on".
Seeing as how this is the case if you can time your fishing trips to include other controllable
factors such as being on the water when the weather and moon are in your favor, you will
much more likely to experience early season trout fishing success. Natural factors such as air
and water temperatures and the phase and rising and/or setting of the moon play a huge role
in whether or not you catch early season trout.
The next tip is to use different lure and fly colors than you might during the other seasons.
Because muddy and/or stained water conditions are so prevalent early in the trout season,
fluorescent, chartreuse, and white colors are usually more effective than more drab color
choices. Brighter colors are much more noticeable to the trout you are attempting to catch,
which means that you will receive more bites from hungry trout.
Remember, the simple things are often the most effective things in life and when it comes to
trout fishing, this rule definitely holds true. Keep these simple tips in mind when you head out
fishing for trout early in the season and you will experience more success, I guarantee it.

Fresh Water Fishing And The Great
Outdoors by Ethan
in Hobbies

(submitted 2010-12-14)

Lets talk about some fresh water fishing in the great outdoors basics for starters. Each state
has a fishing season for the type of fishing you want to do. Along with specific time periods
for different types of fish you also have fishing regulations or laws that you have to follow.
These times and laws are in place to protect our and the fishes environment so follow them.
So you've done a little homework and you know your current states laws and regulations and
you went out and now have a current fishing licence. Before you go out you need to ask
yourself a question. Where am I going to go? Do you want to fish in a stream or a pond or
lake. All three have their own special kind of fish that you are going after.
For instance if you want to fish in your local stream then more likely you need a trout setup.
This has it's own type of fishing pole and method for fishing. Usally a shorter pole. Now
fishing in a stream you are not just going to cast out your line and bait and just let it sit
there. You can't in essence because of the current in the water. ( trout can't survive without
running water) You are going to have to come up with a method or a system. For Instance,
fish with a lure by focusing on spools of spinning water, or pick a specific target with a clear
path and cast, then reel back in your line with a consistent method and motion.
You can fish with just a hook and a worm. This is the ideal way if you are a beginner. Now
basically your just going to drop your worm and line in the water and let the current take out
the bait. Don't be afraid to let a lot of line out. Iv let out close to 75 yards before and never
lost my line. Then slowly reel it back in. You will increase your chances greatly by using this
method or trout fishing.
Fresh Water Fishing-And-The-Great Outdoors is a great recreation activity to get into if you
