So you want be a Pilot?
One of the primary goals of
Aspen Flying Club
is to bring the thrill and excitement of
general aviation to the masses.

Learning to fly is fun! But you do have to hit
the books in order to learn the material that
can't be covered in the cockpit. While you
can certainly take care of your studying on
your own, most people prefer to attend one
of our classroom courses.

We offer training for everything from Sport
Pilot to Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) and
everything in between. Our qualified Certified Flight Instructors (CFI) will provide you
with the necessary education required to
fulfill any of your aviation goals.

*Sport Pilot/Private Pilot Ground School
Learn everything you need to know to pass the
FAA Sport or Private pilot written exams.

*Instrument Ground School

Learn all the ground training necessary to pass the
FAA Instrument written exam.

You’ll want to start your training by obtaining a Sport Pilot or Private Pilot certificate.

Take a Discovery Flight

Learn to Fly at

If you've never been up in a single engine
airplane before or if you're just thinking about
learning to fly, a Discovery Flight is a great
way to start.
Your pilot will be one of Aspen's Certified
Flight Instructors. He or she will first show you
how to "pre-flight" the airplane. Then, you'll
climb aboard, fire it up, radio for a taxi clearance, and head for the active runway.
Soon you will find yourself floating gently off
the ground and into the exciting world of
flying!
