Mr. and Miss International OU
2013 Pageant Application

Saturday, February 16th at 8 pm
Meacham Auditorium in the Oklahoma Memorial Union

IAC is introducing the first annual Mr. and Miss International OU pageant! It is a free event
open to all and a great way to spread appreciation of OU's international culture.
The contestants will represent OU's international diversity with a cultural attire fashion
show with a brief cultural presentation, talent show, and interview in front of three judges.

The winners of Mr. and Miss International OU will represent OU’s international students for
one calendar year. In addition to a cash prize, the winner will be recognized on stage and
in the program book at the 43rd Annual Eve of Nations, which will be at the Lloyd Noble
Center at 7pm, April 12th. They may also be recognized at OU’s homecoming parade in
October and other events throughout the year. Additionally, winners of each category
(cultural fashion show and presentation, talent show, and interview) will be recognized.
These applications will be kept confidential between the International Advisory Committee
members, advisor, and the Mr. and Miss International pageant judges.

Eligibility:
• Must be a current OU student with Spring 2013 enrollment
• Must have international student status F-1 status only)
• Must have or be able to borrow cultural attire from your country by Feb. 13th
• You DO NOT have to be a member of an IAC-registered organization

accurate account of my academic performance and personal background. I
understand that any misrepresentation and/or material omitted will invalidate the
IAC’s consideration of my nomination.
• If I am selected to participate, I grant IAC the right to take video and pictures of the
event and publish them.
• If I am awarded the title of Mr./Miss International OU, I recognize I will be asked to
represent the international community for a full calendar year, including events like
Eve of Nations (April 12th) and the homecoming parade in October.
• If I am awarded the runners-up title for Mr./Miss International OU, I recognize I will
replace the Mr./Miss International OU if they leave OU or do not fulfill their duties.
• If I am selected to participate in the pageant, I will send a short biography, headshot,
a description of my talent and a preferred song selection from my culture for the
fashion show by Feb. 13th.
