Support
Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce offers a range of support and
advice services, free of charge, which includes:
One day workshops*: Running 9:15am to 4pm
Session 1: Preparing for Business; Thinking of starting a Business (TOSAB) and
Marketing
An exploratory session covering personal skills, financial commitments, legal issues,
Business Structures and also includes top tips and ideas on marketing and
promotion, helping you to devise a tailor made marketing plan for your business.
Session 2: Ready for Business; Finance and Business Planning
This session covers the essential financial elements involved in setting up in business.
It includes, creating a personal survival budget, sales forecast, expenses and cash
flow forecasting. Also covering all the elements you will need to consider in
developing your business plan, such as key people involved, aims and objectives,
costs and SWOT analysis.
Business Start-up One-to-one Mentoring**
An experienced Business mentor will be able to support you throughout starting
your own Business. Your Business Mentor will be able to offer advice on putting
your business plan together, consider how viable your business idea is, as well as
advise you on marketing. In addition they will guide you through pricing and costing,
cash flow forecasting and profit and loss analysis.
** Once you have attended your first session, a Business Mentor will contact you
to arrange a meeting for a one–to–one advice session.
