Games Results for HS Teams

Upcoming Game Events

The Freshman team won twice last week, hosting both
Almont and Algonac. Their record currently stands at
10-5 overall and 9-2 in the conference. The JV team
split games last week, losing a tough one against
Almont and beating Algonac Thursday at home. The
JV team also won at Marine City on Saturday. Their
record stands at 11-5 overall, 6-5 in the conference.

February 25, Home vs. Imlay City: Middle School Night
Our seventh grade team will play at halftime of the JV
game, and our eighth grade team will play at halftime
of the varsity game.

The Varsity team also played three times last week,
winning two home games against Almont and Algonac,
and traveling to Marine City on Saturday and defeating
the host Mariners. Their record currently stands at 124 overall and 8-3 in conference play.

Banquet Date Announced
Our annual post-season banquet has been tentatively
scheduled for Thursday, March 13, at 6pm, in the high
school cafeteria. We will send out more information
in the coming weeks. This will be our final organized
team activity for the 2013-2014 basketball season.

February 27, Home vs. Cros-Lex: Parent’s Night
Parents of all three HS teams will be honored between
the JV and Varsity games.

Drug Awareness Program
On Monday, February 24, Richmond High School will
host a Drug Awareness Program sponsored by the
Richmond Police Department and featuring “Families
against Narcotics”. The program is for all studentathletes as well as all students, parents, and families in
the community.
The athletic department and school administration is
asking all winter-season athletes to attend. The event
will take place at 6:00pm in the high school
auditorium.

Tournament Pairings Announced
The playoff brackets for the state tournament have
been announced. Richmond will play in the District
tournament on Monday, March at 6pm against the
Marysville Vikings. The game will be at Marysville HS.
The other first-round games include St. Clair vs.
Lutheran North, and Marine City vs. Armada.
Semifinal games will take place on Wednesday, March
5, with the winner of the Richmond/Marysville game
playing the St. Clair/Lutheran North winner, and
Algonac playing the Marine City/St. Clair winner.
Games are at 6:00 and 7:30pm.
The District
Championship game will take place on Friday, March
7, at 7:00pm.
