There are an estimated 27 million
people trapped in slavery - more
than any other time in history!
According to UNICEF, 2 million
CHILDREN are estimated to be
trafficking victims of the sex trade
each year.
The average age of a girl being forced
into the US domestic sex slavery
market is 13.
1 in 3 runways are approached for
sex in exchange for something of
value within 2 days on the street.
Iowa is a TOP STATE for the
proportion of homeless youth who
are runaways.
Between 14,500 and 17,500 people
are trafficked into the U.S. each year.
Ludwig “Tarzan” Fainberg, a
convicted trafficker, said, “You can
buy a woman for $10,000 and make
your money back in a week if she is
pretty and young. Then everything
else is profit.”
Human trafficking is one of the
fastest growing criminal enterprises
because it holds relatively low risk
with high profit potential.
Pimps are attracted to human
trafficking because, unlike drugs,
humans can be sold repeatedly.
