Joel Etienne-Clark was born 10 October 1986 in Lambeth England to a
Jamaican father and Dominican mother. He represents his mother’s
birth country of Dominica in international football and is currently
playing for Ilford Fc in the Rymen North Division One league.
Joel Etienne-Clark played his youth career at Leyton Orient . He then
joined Chelmsford city with whom he gained a reputation as a tricky
winger. He played for Great Wakering Rovers after 2005 whom he
joined from Chelmsford City, before switching to Waltham Forest in
November 2007. In October 2008, he rejoined Great Wakering Rovers.
He then played in the Sussex League for Lingfield before moving to
Tilbury where he become a fan favourite until injuries forced him to
leave. After regaining fitness he joined Illford FC then Leyton both for
brief periods. He then returned to Illford FC where he is seen as their
most gifted player.
He made his debut for Dominica in a March 2008 Fifa World Cup
qualifier match against Barbados played at the Windsor Park Sports
stadium in Roseau Dominica. He had to wait four more years before
getting another cap but Dominica then requested his services again
during the Digicel Caribbean Cup in Barbados in 2012. After the
tournament he represented Harlem Sports Club in the inaugural Creole
Cup in 2012 before returning to England to continue his football career.
Joel will be representing Dominica in the upcoming 2014 Windward
Island Tournament which will be held from April 30th to May 4th 2014 at
the Windsor Park Sports Stadium
