NEGROS. In a series of surgical and
medical missions from April 23 to 27,
Negros-based members of the Order of
Asclepius once again served different
communities across Negros Occidental.
On April 23, the members went back to
Brgy. Su-ay, Himamaylan City to resume
the circumcision drive that was started
last April 8, 2014 sponsored by Dr. Chris
Sorongon (Batch 24) and the Rotary
Club of Bacolod South.
On April 24 and 25, another
circumcision drive was held at
Handumanan Elementary School I of
Brgy. Handumanan, Bacolod City. The
event was also sponsored by Dr. Chris
Sorongon and the Rotary Club of
Bacolod South.
On the afternoon of April 24, some
members joined the medical mission
held at the Pope John Paul Tower,
Bacolod City, sponsored by the Diocese
of Bacolod in connection with the recent
canonization of Pope Francis. A short
program was held afterwards to
celebrate the momentous occasion.

April 26 marked the last surgical
mission of this month, where the
members together with Dr. Anastacio
Rufon and team HABLON, participated
in another circumcision drive at the
DYRL Compound, Brgy. 35, Bacolod
City. The event was sponsored by the
Rotaract Club of Bacolod and Phoenix
Fuels Foundation.
ILOILO. Crossing a mountain and a
river proved no challenge for the
Asclepians during the medical, dental
and surgical mission held last April 26,
2014 in Cabacanan, Alimodian, Iloilo.
Resident members of the Order of
Asclepius, along with doctors and staff
from the Pediatric and Surgery
departments of West Visayas State
University Medical Center and
Seamen’s Hospital, participated in the
event through Dr. Ryan Ed Comuelo
(Batch 12).
The said medical mission, which was
organized by the Couples for Christ,
catered to around 250 residents
