create a cleaner today but also a greener tomorrow. Let us understand all this in detail below.
Aerobic treatment process
Aerobic treatment process is one of the vital parts of effluent treatment plan. It looks like it is just a
small part of the effluent treatment system, but in fact aerobic treatment process is one of the
integral and unavoidable parts of the process. Through proper aerobic treatment, plants and
sewages can save more energy, cut down costs and also preserve precious oxygen.
Working of aerobic treatment process
The mechanism behind aerobic treatment process is very simple. It helps in mixing oxygen with
the sludge and waste with high velocity rotators. However, the naturally available oxygen is not
enough for the waste as they have high demand of oxygen. To solve this problem, aerobic tanks
that provide oxygen boost up are put up. Aerators help blend the sewage in an extremely
vigorous method with the oxygen. This is done by thrusting the oxygen so that it is evenly
distributed throughout the area.
Types of aerators
There are two types of aerators - ones that can be mounted on a fixed support and ones that can
be mounted on floating support. The fixed aerators or the aerators mounted on fixed support are
more commonly found in effluent treatment plants as they conserve more energy and are more
conventional. The floating types of aerators are relatively newer and mounted on a pod-like
surface that floats in the plants. These are found in plants that run very deep.
Characteristics of good aerators
There are three basic characteristics of good aerators - they are 1) oxygen effectiveness, 2)
vibration levels and 3) use of latest technological inventions. Good aerators will have high output
of oxygen effectiveness. They will have heavy base frame made from quality materials to reduce
vibrations and lastly they will use the latest technical features like semi-open impellers. Besides
these, good aerators will also yield high return on investments by cutting down on energy use.
It is very important to choose good aerators as not only they are more energy efficient but also
they are built with sturdy materials that reduce noise pollution and are more durable. On the onset
it may look like an expensive proposition, but eventually you may realize that good aerators yield
good value of money.

Importance of aerators
Without the influx of high oxygen, it is not possible to treat the waste matter effectively. If the
waste matter is not treated, the world will become a dirtier and difficult place to live in. the hazards
of high amount of sewage can be indeed fatal. Government bodies also have become very strict
about the use of good aerators and other equipments in effluent treatment plants and hence more
and more companies are taking the role of aerators very seriously.

do the aerobic treatment process with thorough sophistication. We can now imagine why
seemingly simple machinery equipment like an aerator is considered so important in the larger
scheme of things.
