Announces Essay Contest

“What do I know about Azerbaijan?”
Ø The Essay Competition is open to students and young researchers between the ages of
19 and 29.
Ø The essays should not be longer than 2,500 words.
Ø The essay may be written in English or Arabic.
Ø The font of the essays should be Arial 12.
Ø The essays must be submitted before May 25, 2014 to the e-mail address of the
Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Kingdom of Morocco:
rabat@mission.mfa.gov.az in MS Word and PDF formats.
Ø The following documents must be also submitted along with the essay:
- Application form (is attached);
- Curriculum vitae (CV);
- Copy of Passport
- Copy of ID card or document substituting the ID Card.
Ten winners will gain the right to participate in 7-10 days trip to Azerbaijan
combining cultural exchange, voluntary work, historical sightseeing and education. The
winners will be defined by the group of experts.
The special attention will be paid to scientific background of essays, their list of
references, accuracy of historical sources and truthfulness of data.
Only citizens of the Republic of Tunisia may participate in the contest.

• Heydar Aliyev: National leader of Azerbaijan
• Realities of Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict
• History of Karabakh
• Art and culture of Karabakh
• Music of Karabakh
• Azerbaijan in the international politics
Within the context of general topics students are welcomed to choose any specific
topic according to their interest, educational and scientific background.
