black mass at harvard
A Harvard student organization is moving forward with the re-enactment of a black mass.
See the narrative here
I am hearing a lot of conflation and small common sense amongst those defending the "majority".
Fr. Roger Landry, Harvard alumn and a Fall River priest, highlights:
Harvard simply would never let itself or its qualities to be associated with events that mock the
religions, desecrate the sacred texts, or diss the spiritual empathy of Jews or Muslims. Similarly it
wouldn't allow its reputation or association to be affiliated in any way with the tasks or
perspectives of an "independent pupil organization" that was re-enacting the lynchings of African
Americans or homophobic attacks or violence against women. Harvard would act decisively in
those situations, both out of just issue for its standing but also out of moral indignation against
such insensitiveness that clear thinking, ethical people instantaneously recognize as evil.
Amidst the media storm encompassing the satanic activity at Harvard, let us remember that satan
pulls individuals to hell with him each day through subtle and the secret. Open breaches of Divine
Law constantly motivate individuals of conscience and straightness. That's why satan functions
softly. As the old maxim goes, "The finest trick the demon ever pulled was convincing the globe
he didn't exist."
1 Peter reminds us that "Your rival the demon is prowling around like a roaring lion searching for
[some one] to devour." These days the lion does not roar, but instead gently mingles with before
attacking his quarry. For this end, permit this black mass be a wakeup call to all people. We are
called everyday to oppose satan's activity on the planet. Let Us rally around that.
