n yearning to achieve the
hesitation despite the short notice
as Dr. Ruel Malata invited the
Order of Asclepius to a medical
and surgical mission sponsored by
UNILAB at Malangabang Island,
Concepcion on May 8.
Malangabang is considered
to be the most populated and one
of the islands greatly devastated
by Typhoon Yolanda.
As such, it took the team 2
hours of land travel and almost an
hour by sea to get to Malangabang.
But certainly, the long travel or the
scorching heat of the sun did not
become a hindrance for service to

from Batches 36 and 37, together
with volunteers from the Iloilo
Medical Society and Doctors In
Touch were able to serve at least
20 boys for circumcision and
approximately a hundred for
Asclepians were indeed
fortunate to have had this
opportunity to be of service. It
will be considered a privilege to
influence not only the lives of
others, but theirs as well.
