CACP is seeking MassArt students to join its sparc! the ArtMobile Team for the 2014-2015 academic year.
ABOUT CACP
The Center for Art and Community Partnerships (CACP) cultivates innovative,
sustainable, relationships with the broader community to explore and expand
the relevance of art in public life. CACP matches MassArt faculty, students, staff,
and alumni who want to engage in community-based projects with neighborhood
organizations, schools, corporations, and institutions to create mutually-beneficial,
sustainable partnerships in the visual arts. The Center uses art as a catalyzing force

sparc! the Artmobile is an initiative of CACP at MassArt. sparc! ignites art and
design while traveling as an all-purpose mobile base for innovative and intergenerational art and design programs, projects and events. sparc! works with organizations, schools, and businesses to utilize our shared resources. To see what we’ve

sparc! TEAM MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES
Library in Roxbury.
• Work in close collaboration with other sparc! team members, CACP staff.
• Attend and assist with sparc! events, workshops and demonstrations.
• Attend weekly sparc! team meetings and stay updated on sparc! events.
• Clean and organize sparc! when needed.
• Organize and replenish art supplies for projects.
• Document / photograph / blog about events as assigned.
• Distribute sparc! materials to community partners.
• Assist with visioning, planning, and promoting sparc! events and art adventures.
• Complete and submit time sheets by due dates.
• Attend monthly CACP Community-Based Learning and Teaching (C-BLT) workshops (see below).
• Complete mid-term and end-of-term program evaluations.
• Maintain open and frequent communication with sparc! Director with regard to availability and other work.
COMMUNITY BASED LEARNING AND TEACHING (C-BLT) WORKSHOPS
All students employed through CACP participate in Community-Based Learning and Teaching (C-BLT) workshops. These
workshops help to build community among the CACP student cohort and prepare students to engage with communitybased work. These mandatory workshops occur about once a month and students are paid for participation.
