Bio
For The Record is a four piece indie rock group originally
created in Fredonia, New York. They all met through playing
in their respective bands in the Buffalo music scene. What
started as a simple exchange of ideas between Brendan Hoare
and John Greenan, turned into what has now become For
The Record . All four members of the band are current
students at Fredonia University and look forward to pleasing
crowds of the local areas and surrounding cities.
All four members of the band bring an energetic stage
presence, which is a reflection of their music. The overall
collection of talent combines a fast paced rock driven sound
with a blend of memorable melodies that showcases their
artistic ability.

Introducing FTR
Guitar/Vocals

John Vaughan has been
playing bass since the 4th
grade and has picked up
guitar, ukulele, and piano
along the way. His main
influences include John
Lennon, Alex Turner, and his
father. John has recorded and
played shows for two years
with his other band
HolKampny, which he also
plays bass and sings in.

Brendan Hoare started
writing music when he was 14
years old. He has been playing
live shows with his bands
Landslide and Kill The Clock
respectively for 3 years. His
major influences include
Julian Casablancas, Paul
McCartney, and Noel
Gallagher.

Bass/Vocals

Tyler Wright has been wailing
away on the guitar since he was
the young age of 13. From the
early days, he was immediately
influenced by the likes of
Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, and
Duane Allman. Since then,
Tyler has recorded and played
live for many local bands
including Dollar Diplomacy,
Crashfuse and Cut Short.

Lead Guitar

John Greenan II has been playing the

Percussion/

drums since first introduced in the 2nd
grade. Trained in both percussion and
vocal music John has had the
opportunity to play in various state wide
and local groups. John has been playing
around the state with his Rock/R&B
group WildCard for the past five years
and looks forward to expanding his
musical horizons. Playing with groups
such as Adams Apollo and The Majors,
John's style has developed over time to
adapt to many genres of music. Being a
Music Business student John intends to
apply his education to the bands process
and contribute to the further progression
of For The Record.
