Abbreviations:
Sc – single crochet
sc2tog- single crochet 2 toghetter
Hdc2tog – half double crochet two toghetter
Dc2tog- double crochet two toghetter
Dc – double crochet
ch – chain
hdc – half double crochet
Fpdc – front post double crochet

Bpdc – back post double crochet
slip st – slip stitch
Note: Round 8-12 can be made in Double Crochet stitch too ( for beginners)
and for advanced beginner you can try the FPDC and BPDC.
Round 1 :
Chain 9, 3 sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc in next 6 chains,
3 sc in last chain, now working on the opposite side of your beginning
chain: , sc in next 6 chs join with a slip st in beginning sc. ( 18 stitches)
Round 2 :
Ch 2 ( counting as a first hdc), 1 hdc in the same stitch, 2 hdc in next two
sc, dc in the next 6 sc, 2 hdc in each of the next 3 sc,
dc in the next 6 sc , join with sl st in the 2 nd ch of beg ch 2 ( you will now have
24 stitches)
Round 3 :
Ch 2 ( counting as a first hdc), hdc in same stitch, 2 hdc in every following
5 sc, hdc in the next 6 stitches, 2 hdc in every following 6 stitches,
hdc in next 6 stitches, join with a sl st to 2 nd chain of beg stitch
( you will now have 36 stitches )
Round 4 :
This round ch 1 and in the backloops of every stitch 1 sc around.
You will have a total of 36.
Please note that after 1 round, you have to slip st to the beg sc.
Round 5 – 6 :
Repeat round 4 and if you want to switch your colour, you have to do this when
you make the slip stitch. That is the point where you can put the other yarn colour
.
Round 7 :

15 sc in the next 15 sc , hdc2tog * ( 6 times) , then 1 sc in the next 2 sc.
Round 8 :
16 sc in next sc, sc2tog ( 2 times) , dc2tog ( 4 times) , sc2 tog ( 1 time)

Easy Level:
Round 9 : ch 2, double crochet in every stitch around, ending with a sl st in the
2nd ch ( top ) of beginning ch.
Round 10 – 11 with double crochets all around.
Round 12: ch 1, sc in every stitch around, fasten off.

More advanced Level ( ribbles on the bootie)
Round 9 : ch 2, dc all around in every stitch, join in top of 2 ch of beg. ch.
Round 10: start with a fpdc in the first ch, then a bpdc, repeat this all around
and sl st in the top of the first dc beg stitch.
Round 11 – 12 : Continue round 10.
Round 13 : ch 1, sc in every stitch around , fasten off.
STRAP : sc 55 and use a stitch marker to put the strap in the bootie.
