TESA GROUP
CIFOM Technical School for watchmakers in Le Locle
is using TESA high-precision measuring instruments.
TESA is supporting
Swiss trainees
and apprentices.
One of TESA partners is the CIFOM School, based
in Le Locle (Neuchâtel canton, Switzerland). This
technical school provides introductory and advanced
training in over 20 essential professions to regional
industrial sectors such as watchmaking, mechanics,
microtechnology and many other fields.
The CIFOM School numbers more than 1,200 students and 150 teachers, and is the only one in the
world to train superior technicians specialising in watchmaking restorations and complex mechanisms.
The students are also placed with companies during their studies.
In order to support the development of students’ professional competences during the technical
laboratories, CIFOM School has been using TESA products for many years.
A wide range of TESA hand tools and machines are available to help trainees learn the manual and
practical work that will characterise the whole course of their careers.
Mr. Paul-André Hartmann, the Director of the School, says “We consider TESA a part of our tradition. When I was a student we already used TESA measuring instruments in class; we choose TESA
because its high-quality Swiss products reflect the high level of education that we want to give to
our students.”
Strong partnership: Stefan Pittrich, TESA Sen. Key Account Manager with Paul-André Hartmann Director of
CIFOM Technical School
“The most important thing for us is that our students can reach the top level of competence, and
this is also a way to support our national expertise,” reiterates Mr. Hartmann. “We receive demand
for high quality from the market and we have to provide high-quality workers in return.”
We would like to thank the CIFOM School and Mr. Paul-André Hartmann for the friendly
cooperation and authorisation.
