To continue the legacy of inspiring young people to become
heroes, another blood drive campaign in partnership with the
Philippine Red Cross was held at Roxas Hall yesterday, January 29, 2015.
This is the fifth Blood For Glory organized by the Order of Asclepius,
with the aim of raising awareness among the masses about the need for blood in
health care settings and the value of saving a life through blood donation. The last
Blood for Glory was held last July 17, 2014 in the same location.
There were a total of 31 registrants, with 22 units of blood collected:
O-7
A-6
B-5
AB - 4
Although the turnout was lower this year, the event still closed successfully with a number of
first time donors feeling pride for having garnered the chance to save lives.
The Order hopes to hold succeeding blood drives at least every three months in the future. For
inquiries on how to support this aspiration, please contact GLA Angeli Nicole Portigo at
09285024601 or JMA Argee Alonsabe at 09222900634 for more information. Our official
account number is: 1333308408. Thank you!
A healthy person is able to donate blood every 3 months,
so we are encouraging everyone to help save lives… donate blood! #
