MOREHOUSE
PRESIDENTIAL
AMBASSADORS
The Presidential Ambassador Program
Are you looking to develop your skills as a leader? Are you a rising sophomore or junior? Do
you love representing Morehouse College? Do you want to share your ideas for the College
directly with President Wilson? Do you feel that, deep down, you are the true representation of
a ‘Morehouse Man?’ If you’ve answered yes to all of the forgoing questions then it is about time
you consider applying to become a Presidential Ambassador!
The Presidential Ambassador program was established in the fall of 2010. Students selected
demonstrated a strong commitment to academics, leadership, and character. Men of Morehouse
participating in this program have been afforded very special opportunities to enhance personal
development and long-term career goals while serving the college. They interact with and help
the President to host high profile corporate executives, government leaders and celebrities when
they visit our campus. Students also represent the student body in a variety of events generated
by the Office of the President and the Office of Institutional Advancement throughout the course
of the academic year.
Criteria for Selection:
1. Must be a rising sophomore or rising junior
2. Must have achieved a 3.3 cumulative GPA at the time of nomination (and must maintain
such during participation in the program)
3. Must be in “good standing” with the Office of Student Conduct
4. Must have demonstrated strong leadership qualities
5. Must commit for no less than (1) academic year (Plans for study abroad will not affect
eligibility)
6. Must be able to communicate lucidly and express thoughts clearly and articulately
7. Must be willing and able to speak in public
8. Must have a schedule that is flexible enough to accommodate the demands of participating in
the program
9. Must acquire (2) recommendations that attest to both leadership and character. One of the
recommendations must be written by a professor, faculty or staff member and the other
