Hello stranger, and thank you for taking your time to read this.
I will keep this short and straight to the point, as re-directing you here might be a bit
My name is Eric. I'm a 20-year old guy from the western parts of Sweden,
Gothenburg, to be exact. Conditions here are getting worse, less and less jobs and
settlements by the day. I'm dead broke, am forced to still live at home with my
generous parents who don't even charge me rent, which is basically all I have to
keep me off the streets. After soon two years of searching, applying, sending letters,
resumes and showing myself off, I've nearly given up on finding a job. So I've tried
to fall back on the one passion I have, which is creating music and art. I've put this
fund under the "music" category, since it is my main area. I'm soon to come out with
an album I've worked hard on, but it is most likely not going to make me any money,
being an unheard amateur. My dream is to go abroad and study, preferably music
or arts, and even more preferably someplace warm to contrast this chilly place. But
this all costs money, a lot of money. It requires having a steady income, which
requires having the right education, which requires money, and so on. It's an evil
circle. I've tried applying for more than jobs, scholarships and allowances, but has
been granted nothing, which indeed is tearing on me.
So I thought, "hey, why not give this kickstarter-thing a go, what have I to lose?". I've
set my goal on 5000 SEK, which would only be enough for an airplane ticket
abroad, but it's still a lot to a poor artist like myself, and would get me halfway there,
at least.
If you are interested in the work I'm doing, type
into your internet browser and listen away. Hopefully it will inspire somebody.
Thank you in advance, although I'm not expecting much from this fund, I'm hopeful
that it might somewhat hep me reach my goals and dreams. You never know, right?
All the best, Eric
