P0235 TC BOOST SENSOR
A
Description
INFOID:0000000001307494
The turbocharger boost sensor detects pressure in the exit side of the charge air cooler. The sensor output ECR
voltage to the ECM increases as pressure increases.
DTC Logic
INFOID:0000000001451448
C
DTC DETECTION LOGIC
DTC No.
P0235
Trouble diagnosis name
DTC detecting condition
Turbocharger boost sensor circuit
low input
An excessively low voltage from the sensor is
sent to ECM.
Turbocharger boost sensor circuit
high input
An excessively high voltage from the sensor is
sent to ECM.
Turbocharger boost sensor circuit
range/performance
Rationally incorrect voltage from the sensor is
sent to ECM, compared with the voltage signal
from barometric pressure sensor (built-into
ECM)
Possible cause
• Harness or connectors
(Turbocharger boost sensor circuit
is open or shorted.)
• Turbocharger boost sensor
• Barometric pressure sensor (builtinto EC)
DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
