OUR MISSION

PROGRAM DYNAMICS
The GREEN KIDS program introduces participants to a whole new
world of science and technology.
Kids learn through being offered
subjects they are interested in, as
well as interactive and hands-on
engagement. Participants will be
involved in various educational
and fun projects. Field trips will be
taken to solar and wind farms, a
technology manufacturing plant
and a co-generation power plant.
The GREEN KIDS interact with
engineers, builders, designers, and
architects and other professionals
that help build our nations infrastructure. The participants will be
challenged to explore and embrace
the careers of the future.

GREEN KIDS STEM PROGRAM

The Green Kids Club is a ten week
commitment that meets on Saturday
from 10:00 AM TIL 2:00 PM.

GREEN KIDS PROGRAM MISSION

Our overall mission is to empower
our youth with skills, knowledge,
information, experiences and the
resources to aid in their success in
todays’ competitive, global
environment of science, math and
technology.
We are a member of the West
Virginia Youth Environmental
Program which is sponsored by the
state of West Virginia Department of
Environmental Protection. Our
program is a combination of tutoring,
mentoring and teaching utilizing a
unique approach of STEM (Science,
Technology, Engineering and Math)
activities. We work with ages 9-17
offering subject matters at each
youngsters’ age and grade level.
Enrollees are required to perform
community service projects that
helps them understand the
importance and value of being true
environmental stewards.
