PREFACE
Dear members,
We are proud and delighted to say that you have just opened the very first issue
of the Hall of Poets Digital Magazine!
This Digital Magazine is an inititiative of the owners and moderators of the Hall
of Poets community on Google+.
The magazine is meant to give members of the community a platform to publish
their work to a broader public and on a larger scale. In order to reach the widest
possible audience, it will be published on several social media platforms, among
which Facebook, and it will also be available as downloadable pdf. Every two
weeks a new issue of the magazine will be released, consisting of some 35 poems
written by different members and selected by the owners and moderators of the
Hall of Poets. There are no specific established criteria for the selection of the
poetry, although of course we will be looking for poems that really stand out in
quality and delivery. Other than that there may be several reasons for selection,
like for instance a theme issue of the magazine. We will always contact the
authors of selected poems personally to inform them and ask for their consent to
publish their work in the magazine. We will keep all our members informed about
possible upcoming themes or events regarding the magazine, on the official Hall
of Poets community page.
Detailed information regarding the consent form, etc. can be found on the
community page.
Also, of course, you can always contact us with any possible questions you may
have, preferably via our e-mail address hallofpoets@gmail.com.
We are very much looking forward to a succesful continuance of this creative
adventure and wish you all the best of luck getting selected. May your pens and
inspiration flow abundantly!!
Have a wonderful time reading this first issue!
Warm wishes,
The Hall of Poets team.

PLANETAN
By Dr. Prerna Singla
In a rosy garden I met a
Guy with purple eyes
Skin like a pale moon
Lips like tulips bloom
He smiled at me
As I looked at him
What citizen are you”, he asked
I saw the crystal globe he clasped
“Hi I am Planetan”, I said
Planetan???
“I am the citizen of the planet
I see all earth as land, all men James and Janet
All sky as blue, All Plants green
All waters wet, all creatures being
I see diversity in unity
And unity in diversity
For me, I live on the planet
And nothing divided by man
I am a PLANETAN!!”

I sleep with you because I love your body
There is no fascination about you or your Audi
I have a specific liking towards hairy men
Luckily you fall into my choices of den
Kissing you is my best Sunday hobby
And getting loved in the visitors lobby
I know you like me just like I do
But you don’t know about my level of insanity towards you
I am a woman and I have a lust
But I am not a stalker you must trust
Don’t confuse my lust with your so called movies love
You are my buddy just like a sweet dove
I know we are together since many years
Except your body I still don’t like the voice of yours in my ears
I know I am straightforward and somewhat mean
But I am frank towards my choices and I don’t act like a queen
I don’t need your gifts and cards
I will not make you run after me in long yards
Girlfriend boyfriend game is not my policy

I LOVE
YOUR
BODY
BUT I
AM NOT
A SLUT

By Pulkit Mohan Singla

So you don’t need to do any kind of courtesy
Its better we should be buddies forever
Till the time you say no more never
Sex is not dirty so don’t feel bad
It’s just a body need so don’t be mad
I know you have plans to marry me but my rejection has made you sad
But seriously you are not a husband material lad
I am tired of explaining you the reason why I am with you
Thats why i have not asked to buy me anything new
I hate your job so your lifestyle
But for doing sex with you I can even walk a mile
Forgive me dear if I hurt you in anyway
I know woman’s lust have triggered your ego that what you cannot say
Men can do countless affairs and still are called Casanova
Are we supposed to kill our body need and survive on the yoga?
Woman should respect their lust just like they respect him
Loving someone’s body is being selfish towards your desires which is
certainly not a sin

A DRUG
By Daipayan Nair

Full of smiling starlight
The blue gleams bright
The hand portrays a stretch
To free the Rose from its battle
With the thorns it fights!
The splashes of the running brooks
The Moon with its charming look
Flowers of love..
The heaven showers for you
On this flowery bed
Beneath the heavenly shed
The hand portrays a stretch
A love waits to be fed
Full of pleasurable rides
The circus of love looks at
With all its might
The lips portray a stretch
To free the Raven from its battle
With the melody it fights.

In the hearth of desires
Glows a passionate fire
The cocaine of love
Entices my sight
The amours portray a stretch
To free the gem from its battle
With the treasure it fights!
In this dreamy wild
Lets tangle!
Lets enjoy the flight
The fireflies orchestrate the light
As your -scape lures my sight
A drug you are my love!
A drug of the night.

A yes, a no
An approach, a deny
The passions pine
For a beautiful hug
The soothing zephyrs try
To be a drug
A drug inhaled by you and I!
