T

he Order of Asclepius
continues to aid in the road
to
manhood
as
it
completes the second
week
of
the
province-wide
circumcision caravan in Antique.
The Free Tuli Program which
started on May 4 will continue daily
from Monday to Friday until the 26th,
serving 17 of the 18 municipalities in
Antique. Dr Ric Noel A. Naciongayo
(OA Batch 10), who is the Provincial
Health Officer II in Antique, heads the
said event.
The second week of the caravan
comprises of surgical missions to
Barbaza,
Laua-an,
Bugasong,
Valderrama, and Patnongon. Venues
for the said municipalities are Pedro L.
Gindap Municipal Hospital, Laua-an
RHU, Bugasong Medicare Community
Hospital, Valderrama Hospital, and
Patnongon
Multi-Purpose
Hall,
respectively.
A total of 1039 children aged 12
onwards
are
circumcised
from
May 11 to 15, with an average of
around 200 circumcisions done per

day for each municipality.
The surgical team is comprised
of Dr. Leoncio Abiera Jr., and OA
resident members Allen Alipen
(Batch 38), William Suaboksan (Batch
38) and Stephanie Grace Lucero
(Batch 37). Other participants in the
circumcision
drive
include
volunteers from WVSU-COM namely
Lorene
Bernardio,
Mignonette
Delgado, and Lee Daven Lacson
from Class 2017 (Excelsior), and
Nadine
Bacalangco and Guada
Adayon from Class 2018 (Medicus
Devoveo); as well as members of
the 82nd Infantry Battalion and
Service
Support
Battalion
3rd
Infantry Division of the Philippine
Army.
So far, 2126 circumcisions have
been done in the past two weeks of
the event. This number is bound to
increase with Belison, Sibalom, San
Remigio, San Jose, and Hamtic set for
May 18 to 22.
The caravan is sponsored by
Antique's Provincial Government in
cooperation
with
the
Antique

Provincial Health Office, Department
of Health, and the various municipal
and district hospitals in Antique.
Other partners include the 602nd
Antique
Defense
Community
Center, 6RCDG, Army Reserves and
Local Government Units in Antique. #
