We take for granted that writing itself is an art which we have
tamed into common, familiar, and sometimes breathtakingly
From magazine articles, to young adult novels, to fantasy series, and
even most experimental pieces, all of them are still operating within
a framework that should bore any semiconscious reader at this point
in the history of literature.
For example, as I write more and more in this same font with regular
paragraphs and semi-correct punctuation and grammar, you start to
see a familiar pattern. “Why yes, of course, he’s writing an essay on
the forms of writing which started with a crazy introduction to draw
our attention to how we only experience writing in preconceived
styles and how he wants to show us how to break them. It all makes
