over as the Order of
Asclepius embarks on
another surgical mission
held at the Dumangas Rotary
Clubhouse on June 7, 2015. The
event was spearheaded by the
Rotary Club of Dumangas, District
3850, in cooperation with Biton
Foundation and „Liga ng mga
Barangay‟ of Dumangas headed by
Hon. Ronaldo “Onal” Gomez. The
past president and project chairman
of the Rotary Club of Dumangas is
Dr. George Acepcion who is also
one of the founding charter
members of the
Order of
Asclepius.
Dr. Louvelle Sorolla from Batch
32 together with the OA resident
members Raissa Juntado from Batch
37, and Allen Rey Alipen, Peterson
Chang, Danemar Calise and
Therese Angela Benite from Batch
38 participated in the successful
circumcision of 42 boys in the said
municipality. Petersian Alcazaren of
WVSU-College of Medicine Class
2018 (Medicus Devoveo) and
volunteer nurse Kathryn Joy
Jambongana also took part in the
day-long event.
In a message by Dr. Sorolla
representing the Order of Asclepius
to the Rotary Club and the
participants of the event, she stated
that the organization remains
steadfast to its commitment in
serving the communities and is
always ready to lend a helping hand
when it comes to the healthcare
needs of the people as well as its
active involvement in various
medical and surgical missions in the
region.
Furthermore, she added that the
Order continues to be a dependable
ally to the various organizations and
is looking forward to working again
with the future medical projects in
the municipality of Dumangas in
Iloilo. #
