Introducing the New Pro Mix Products
After serving the industrial community for years on end with easy-to-use packaged products
to high quality bulk cement for commercial use, Cement Australia have now introduced a
new product line specifically aimed at home owners who are interested in DIY. Now with
the new “Mix it like a pro” range, also known as Pro Mix, Cement Australia has made it easy
for you to be the star of your own renovation process. There is no need to understand
technical or industrial language – just five easy to add sachets that are a softer approach to
concrete so you can feel inspired by whatever project you wish to choose.

How does it work?
With these 5 easy-to-add packets, instructions are easy to follow.

Pro-Mix Tough
Pro-Mix Tough acts as a synthetic fibre reinforcement that controls cracking, providing extra
strength for those jobs that carry a heavy load. It also has twice the strength of normal
concrete mix, without the steel mesh.
The amount of Pro-Mix Tough to Extra strength Pro-50 concrete is in a one to one ratio. Add
2L of water into a hole created in the middle. After mixing, you can lay your slab and spread
the concrete evenly to your liking.
After levelling and compacting, you’ll have a tough concrete block you can use.

Pro-Mix Fast
‘Pro-mix Fast’ has a fast-setting action and twice the early-age strength of normal concrete.
It is specially formulated with an additive to save time for those projects you can’t wait to
get started on.
The amount of Pro-Mix fast to Extra strength Pro-50 concrete is in a one to one ratio. After
pouring both products in, just simply create a hollow in the middle and add 2 litres of water
to mix.
The slab can be walked on in less than nine hours but to achieve maximum strength, it is
best to keep the concrete moist for up to a week. Set times are also affected by
temperatures. It is best to avoid mixing and placing concrete at below five degrees Celsius
or above thirty-five degrees Celsius.

Pro-Mix Finish
Pro-Mix Finish is a more workable concrete that is self-levelling and easy to place, with a
pourable mix that finds its own level.

The amount of Pro-Mix Finish to Extra strength Pro-50 concrete is in a one to one ratio. The
same process follows with 2L of water being placed in a hole in the middle of the mixture.
After mixing well, the concrete will flow to find its own path when poured – just make sure
to screed to level the concrete to the height of your slab.
Wait 15 to 30 minutes to stiffen, and your own DIY design can be walked on in less than 24
hours.

Pro-Mix Render and Mortar
Pro-Mix Render converts the ‘Sand & Cement’ base product into a multi-surface render that
trowels into a fine finish, whereas Pro-Mix Mortar is strong and versatile, improving
workability as well as moisture retention.
For the Render and Mortar, the amount is in a one to one ratio with sand & cement. Mix
well until there’s no trace of the Pro-Mix, then add 3L of water into a hollow. Mix well and
you’re ready to apply it to your DIY projects.
