3. One out of every 14 jobs in the U.S. is a part of or is directly affected by
the trucking industry.

“I WILL BE HAPPY WHEN...”
By Lorie Rosenberg

You hear this a lot these days from people
everywhere, at all different stages in their
lives...
“I will be happy when...”
• I lose some weight
• I get a new job
• I go on vacation
• I get married
• I have children
• I’m retired

effort to be happy “here and now” no matter
what your circumstances are?
That’s the trick isn’t it...and it’s not always
that easy. But there are people that can do
it...and do it well. And so can you.
Here are a few tips to help you add more
happy minutes to your day:

The reality is that life is challenging and if it
has to be “picture perfect” for you to enjoy
it, then you’re probably going to end up
spending most of it miserable.
Instead, how about making a conscious

• Be Grateful: When you see yourself
becoming frustrated or annoyed, take a
moment to be thankful for your life. (There’s
always someone who has it much worse
than you.)
• Live in the Moment: Don’t base your
happiness on some goal you need to attain
or situation that needs to happen. Be happy

with where you are right now. You never
know what tomorrow will bring so enjoy
what you have right now.
• Help Someone in Need: Sometimes that
best medicine to cure unhappiness is to
get your mind off of you...and start helping
someone in need. You may find that the
happiness it brings becomes contagious.
• Take Care of Yourself: Everyone needs a
little time to take care of themselves. Make
sure that your day includes activities that
bring you joy and lighten your heart.
Life is a gift for you to enjoy. Make sure that
you’re not always looking to the future for
your happiness, but make today your best
day ever!
