For my Master project at the Weissensee KHB, I
chose to deal with a non convinient topic of the
Israeli-Palestinian conflict from the perspective of
religion. Since recently there is a common claim
among the Israelis that the political conflict is
actually a religouse conflict, I wanted to examine
the social ethics in the primary books of Islam
and Judaism and to see what the differences
actually are.

I started my project by collecting the social rules
from the Torah and Quran and then published
the comparison on a website, booklets and
posters. I conducted 4 workshops to convey the
comparison further and to confront people’s
reactions to my proposal.

I was interviewing different people regarding the
topic, made a meeting between a Rabbi and a
Muslim guide, documemted the workshops in
video, and edited the whole footage into a 33
minutes report regarding the project.
In this project I used my communication design
skills and my natural curiousity for the attempt to
create a new dialogue in a fragile circumstances.

For his second album decided Avi Goldfinger, to
publish a poem book along his music recording
and to make a visual interpretation for each song
in a video format. The full content of the project
is presented online and contains his first album
material and an illustrated book he published few
years ago.

Following the album’s title ‘What Do You Know
About Jesus Anyway’, we decided to print his
book on a paper known in Israel as ‘Bible Paper’.
We chose the ‘Halftone Manipulation’ in black
and white as the main graphic appearance,
resembling the poetry, drawing an Image by
using many fragments of words.

Most of Goldfinger’s songs dealing with his
search for love in the urban environment of Tel
Aviv, and so we chose for the main image a
figure of a feminine Centaur, as a symbol for his
utopic unreachable love.
This project was executed in collaboration with
Yossi Assulyn at the ‘Yellow Sub’ studio.
