1. TERMS OF USE OF THE SHC HWI PORTAL
Your use of the SHC HWI Portal will eliminate the need for you to complete the HBCF Project
Application for CIMS (All Work Excluding Multiple Dwelling Projects) form.
The questions in the SHC HWI Portal have been structured to ensure we are capturing the
information required by CIMS (the new government HWI system) – and we will transcribe your
responses into the insurers’ system.
To enable us to provide this online service we must ensure:
1. Authorised Officer/s of your business are aware of, and agree to, the HBCF Privacy
Statement as stated in the HBCF Project Application Form.
2. Authorised Officer/s of your business are aware of, and agree to, the Builder Declaration
as stated in the HBCF Project Application Form.
As a condition of using the SHC HWI Portal online service:
1. The Authorised Officer/s of your business agree that:
a.
When approved users of your business sign in to the SHC HWI Portal they are acting on
behalf of the Authorised Officer/s of your business, and by the approved users signing in this
acknowledges and confirms that the Authorised Officer/s agree to the:
i.
HBCF Privacy statement
ii.
SHC Privacy statement (for home builders insurance)
b. When approved users of your business make application for Home Warranty Insurance
within the SHC HWI Portal, the Authorised Officer/s agree that the application is made as if
the application had been made by the Authorised Officer/s of the business; AND,
i.
The application has been completed in accordance with all terms and conditions
of the HBCF application form.
ii.
The completion of the SHC HWI Portal application is equivalent to the Authorised
Officer/s of the business signing the Builder Declaration within the HBCF
application form
iii.
The application had been completed in accordance with the terms of use of the
SHC HWI Portal
2. YOUR APPROVED USERS OF THE SHC PORTAL.

3. ACCEPTANCE PANEL
By signing where indicated below you are:
1. Agreeing that you have read the Privacy Statement within the HBCF Application for CIMS (All
work excluding multiple dwellings)
2. Agreeing that you have read the Builder Declaration within the HBCF Application for CIMS (All
work excluding multiple dwellings) and understand your obligations by signing this declaration
3. Agreeing that you have read and agree to the terms of use of the SHC HWI Portal as detailed in
section 1 of this document
4. Agreeing to the approved user list as completed by you in section 2 of this document
Who should sign this acceptance panel?
This acceptance should be signed either by the sole business proprietor/all business partners in
a partnership/sole director if a sole director company/at least two (2) directors of the company for
other companies.
